Not the best of shaves with today's Throwback selection. At the first pass, as I was proceeding along Porcupine Alley and surrounding areas, I developed 5 red polkadots along the Alley(3 at North, 2 at South). They all just showed up-all but one not serious. I knew the cold water rinse would be good to destroy'em, but wasn't so sure the Spice aftershave would help. In fact., the aftershave produced some strong tingling. It felt like I was frying an egg on my face. All calmed down after about 30 minutes. Face feels good now, but the shave gets a Kind of Excellent. This red polkadot stuff must stop. Now well see how the barbershop babes react to the Stoylin Spice.

    ETHOS Lavender Suprême~~Simpson 57 "Douglas"~~Feather AS-D2/Gillette Platinum~~Lavande 44
We have this lovely lavender bush that I purchased a couple of years ago and was about to plant
in my garden, but Dr. Mrs. Primo nixed that idea and we planted it right next to our back door.
It has really thrived there and we love the color and the scent.
Today's soap and perfume both feature lavender, albeit quite differently.
Excellent lather from the ETHOS. The cream requires some effort to break down the sticky product
but at the same time, not adding too much H2O too quickly.

My patience was rewarded with this:

Second day with the Gillette Platinum. It performed better in my US pre-war Tech,
than in today's Japanese Feather AS-D2. The angle proved challenging,
    but
because the lather was so slick and protective, my skin was spared.

Imagine walking in an Agarwood forest and happening upon a garden of lavender.

I haven't forgotten your kind offer, Charlie :). Won't be for a while though, and it will be a puck, not a stick.

Sounds like you're back to pressing, Paul. Careful, the disposable razors ENCOURAGE pressing. Now go flirt with your barbershop gals. :sexe:

You're right-I need to lose that pressing thing. My hair does need a good bit of slicing today, and they know how to work men's hairstyles.

    Razor: Thiers-Issard Super Gnome Extra
    Brush: Skully
Lather: Ginger's Garden Obsession Type (1508.5 Project)
    Aftershave: Obsession A/S Balm
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
    Obsession EdT

Wonderful shaves this morning. Yes, I said shaves. Usually, I buzz the dome with my shears, however, the added weight of the shears makes it difficult to reach certain areas due to the shoulder recovery. ( I will return to using the buzzer as SWMBO is not a big fan of the total clue ball look. She prefers a little fuzz when she attempts to rub the dome. The dome shave consisted of the following participants:

    Razor: Ming Shi Fitur Clone
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: ECWS 2018 Ghost Trails
Lather: Santa Fe Soap Ranch Redwood Vetiver
    Aftershave: Floid Genuine
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Both shaves results in a very close and smooth result without incident. The alum report was nonexistent. I am smelling and feeling good.

The major challenge for me in relation to being semi-handicapped as a result of the surgery is my inability to workout. You know how my I love the X3Bar. Therefore, following my shave I did some errands. Since I can not drive until the brace comes off, I walk. AThe weather here on LI is warm, a bit muggy and very breezy. My walk took me to the hardware store , for a set of keys and 7-Eleven, for a coffee. Round trip over two miles. Needless to say I did work up a nice sweat. This MOLC thing is definitely growing on me.

    Have a great day gentlemen
