Well, just received three new Swedish razors, one of which has a chip in the blade. From Poland Neistrom 4/8. Needs some work. It’s a Model #52. There’s a chip near the toe, easily remedied, also needs some beauty treatment. CV Heljestrand Mk29. 4/8. From Texas JA Hellberg 5/8. Faux Spine. From Florida
Understood, Scott! The only reason I brought it up for Hans is because he had mentioned to me that he strongly prefers full hollows. My Katsumi is a half hollow, but that’s not an issue for me.
Thanks Jeff, half hollow and full hollow is OK Wedges and half wedge is not my cup of tea, of course can I shave with them but normally I get a little bit sore skin. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
A fun one made it into the mail slot… I give you the Slayton Razor Just drop this into your pocket for a quick touch up before your 1880’s dinner. Patented mechanism to slide the blade out, rotate, and slide back in to lock. Looks like it was for razors and knives. A copy of the patent: Looking forward to working on this one. Happy hunting. Tom
Thanks fellas. The design to use it like a fixed kamisori is beneficial, as trying to use something this tiny with a folded scale design is near impossible. The edge doesn’t look half bad, so hopefully it will hone up fine.
It has arrived! Sadly I had to pay $90 in customs and import taxes.. Very welcome to Sweden! The most tax addicted country in the world I guess… Thanks Andrey for the nice package and fast delivery. So tomorrow morning it’s going to be Klas and Andrey Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Yes, my friends, the tax system in Europe is ruthless. I don't like that either. It is a little easier for American buyers in this regard.
