  3. You went for the classic and simple shave pic Gary! The setup seems to be top notch as well. Thanks for your vote of confidence on being the gaurdian of this thread. Since Jan 2015, Chris, Neal, Joseph and an occasional assist from Charlie did awesome job on overseeing this thread. I just hope in the months ahead that I can perform my duties with the same excellence. Have a great day, my friend.

  4. Awesome shave, Joe! Is that the much heralded 2011 R41?

  5. Correct me if I am wrong: Are the Knicks part of the focus? They just seem to feel they are welcomed in your shaves. You would think by now they would get the hint that they are not welcome. Oh, I forgot it is October with Halloween around the corner.
  6. Thank you Joe. Unfortunately, it is a later version of the R41. I picked it up in 2019.

When using a double edge razor oh, I prefer the Open comb configuration. It is not change the geometry or aggressiveness of a razor rather it changes the way the soap interacts with the razor. I tend to use skin stretching, as if it were a straight razor.

    Be well.

Other than that...Tide rolled and all is quiet in Alabama.

  16. I stretch my skin regardless of the razor. Gravity has its way with my face and neck. Lol!

  19. Surely this means that you concede that Arko is the greatest of all soaps? I mean, what other soap boasts fantastic shave performance as well as a whole host of other applications?! :happy102:

Interesting idea. I've never had any issues thus far, but of course I do have running water and use the mighty Arko.

    Wonderful shave with beautiful razors!

Great shave, Joe. Is the Muhle R102 the same as the R41 with just a different handle? The comb looks to be scalloped the same way.

    Micromatic OC for everything! :D

Same! The only problem I have is that it makes all my other razors look bad...

Cracking shave with some top tier gear. Hope you're well!

Not used my R41 in months. It certainly is efficient. I find it to be blade picky though. How do you find it?

I still remember learning a lot from your videos, last year, about skin stretching and angle... I still apply those same principles every shave, but now I'm exclusively SE (for now).

    Hope you're well, Chris.

Great shave. The Ingram's is nice stuff! Easily available in our neck of the woods too (at a great price)!
  20. Great shave, Barry! Now that you’ve got the Snmirn dialed in, what’s the next challenge. Do you plan on sporting any OC safety razors? In any case, have a productive day! Enjoy your Sunday!
