The Palmolive Shave Cream lathered well with Jayaruh #414 Silvertip Badger. Two passes and touch ups with the 1902 Kampfe Brothers/Star Lather Catcher with a Personna GEM SS PTFE gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Lustray Spice After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SOTD SUNDAY MORNING, OCTOBER 3, 2021

RAZOR: Ellis & Allan Stubtail 8/8 (Mug), Gem MMOC (Dome)
BLADE: Pella PTFE Gem
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: JT Sapele Resin Handled Omega Pro48 Boar Knot
SOAP: Fine Snake Bite
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Fine Snake Bite AS Splash.

 

I would give anything to be able to use MWF again but it made my face burn like crazy. Ah well……

Stirling Mentholated Pre Shave Soap
Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
Super Speed/Minora day 5
Stirling Glacial Citron SS
Stirling Glacial Unscented ASB
Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash
Bleu de Chanel Deodorant Stick
Bleu de Chanel Parfum

If this setup doesn’t freeze your face off then nothing will - even the mentholated pre shave soap from Stirling felt chilly but the Glacial Citron is a menthol atom bomb with a beautiful citrusy scent, awesome lather, and such perfect skincare. The Glacial Unscented balm soothed, moisturized, and added plenty of extra iciness while the Glacial Citron aftershave froze the crap out of me. What a great shave this was!

Sunday Schick shave, OCtober 3rd 2021

Razor: Schick injector i2 with hydro magic- Mfg 1954-57, tame mid range, nice features on this model, nice handle for maneuvering around the face.
Blade: Personna injector SS PTFE(10) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable.
Soap: Razorock Irish Country side, unique mild scent + excellent lather qualities. Nice creamy texture from this one.
Brush: Yaqi Rainbow 26mm brown whiskers, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock Emperor(knock off of Creed Aventis) with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe Moisturizer balm (HA + scentless=excellent)
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= excellent shave with my Schick i2 injector with hydro-magic with a Personna SS PTFE blade.

I've got more than a few unmarked blades that I've picked up here and there so occasionally I will pull one out for a mystery shave. I did pretty well managing a DFS.

Second time this week with the 30 degree soap (Germany). Always impressed with how well this veggie soap performs.
