I have never tried either. I was lazy last week and I had 5 or 6 days to shave. I dialed the razor up to 8 and went to town. First thing I noticed is how well the blade felt. The razor dialed up that high was a bit milder than I had anticipated. Nevertheless I had a wonderful 3 pass shave bordering on BBS. I really want to test this blade out on other razors. Greetings, Early morning shave. The Erasmic shave cream created a excellent lather in a short space of time for my shave this morning. It doesn't have much of a scent, but makes up for it's performance and post shave feel. A Enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Replenishing PSB. Tuesday morning: Neutrogena Deep Clean Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Minora day 7 Palmshave Lime SC Bull Dog Moisturizer Booster Iced Lime AS Splash Very basic stuff this morning - this Palmshave Lime cream is not luxurious or fancy but it certainly gets the job done well. Its scent is kind of an industrial lime type but it’s not unpleasant, it lathers well, it’s fairly slick, and the postshave care is decent. The Bull Dog moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Iced Lime aftershave to me smells so nice. No complaints at all about this shave - it turned out BBS from two passes! ASRazor shave, OCtober 5th 2021 Razor: GEM Micromatic OC bump less model- Mfg 1930-32, excellent mid range, designed & built to last generations, this razor helped Gem Mfg get through the dirty 30's + first mass produced TTO & 3 or 4 years ahead of the Gillette TTO models. Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (5) excellent blade, very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable. Gem Personna Proprietary steel formula is better than any of the other SE blades for edge retention, longevity + cost per shave IMO. Soap: Italian barber Amici, nice mild citrus scent + excellent lather qualities. Brush: Yaqi 22mm Cola Synthetic, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter & precision painting brush, also not a lather hog. Pre shave: Brush wash my whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area. Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. Post shave: Italian barber Amici with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer balm( excellent + scentless) Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers = excellent shave with Gem MMOC bump less model with a coated Gem blade.
