    Greetings,

    (OCtober-Open Comb razor week.)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend....I missed the start of the OCtober open comb razor month so I'll do a full week with my OC razors to make up for lost time....Starting with the assertive Gem OC Micromatic..I've said it before treat any razor with respect, learn your technique, gain your shaving confidence and you'll be rewarded with some sublime shaves.

The mild scented Cella bio Aloe Vera shaving cream provided me with a great protective slick lather in no time leaving a superb post shave feel.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable BBS shave with no errors to report...Finishing to the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd Victor N0:9 EdT to the pulse points.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Completely concur with regard to SE blade stock. I'm partial to Schick series E, G and J. They all have "blade feel" closely approximating traditional SR.

How do those who gather here feel about OC?

    DE versus OC?

Did you make any major adjustments to DE as a result?

"Take ONE razor, ONE blade, ONE brush, ONE soap/cream and use them EVERYDAY this month. Yes, everyday. But Trigger, I want variety! I know you do, but until you perfect your technique, it makes little sense to constantly change the variables of your shave."

    I really like this statement.

Thanks for keeping the campfires going!

Hello! I'm working through the posts. If you've replied and I have not responded, please take no offense, and thank for your replies!

Please revisit the poll that appears above the first page of this thread. In the spirit of the RBC shenanigan or four, and tacos in general, new answers are open for selection.

And don't tell Canadians I said this.

Yes, that is one way to look at it. Another way to look at it is a better way.

I had root beer and jelly beans just now for breakfast. OK, That's not true. However, I just had to let you know the brush is still holding a very nice finsh. Knot is still perfect and well-adhered to your handle.

Other than that...all is quiet in Alabama.

I'm in line to finish off the Phoenix Boomtown Bay Rum soap before the year ends. Glad to get it out again. My experiment for this shave was to try the same razor as previously used for a third and hopefully fourth time in a row. I succeeded in that, but 4 is the limit. . Working North Porcupine Alley(right over the upper lip and nose)got a little dangerous-had to go REAL SLOW, but I got NPA good. Very good everywhere else-no Knicks or Cuts. 2 passes. The Clubman Special Reserve proved to be a nice ending. Oh, I forgot.,..this was my first shave using the Clubman brush. I like it. Works just like the Stoylin "li'l brudder"-small in appearance but packs a big punch. All in all an Outta This World Excellent shave.
