  3. I thought I posted to this thread but I can’t find it so take two…

I was part of the September thread but I hadn’t really understood the intent, either the 30 Day Rule or The Focus. I’m going to try The Focus approach, mainly because even though I’m new, I’m able to consistently pull off good shaves. Hopefully I’m not being overconfident but I guess I’ll find out.

In the spirit of open comb October I’ll use the only one I have, a Gillette New Long Comb. I started today with a Treet “Black Beauty” blade, Cella soap, and a PAA Atomic Rocket. The blade didn’t cut it for me. It just didn’t seem sharp enough. I had to buff quite a bit but fortunately there wasn’t any irritation so while I wouldn’t say this blade is sharp it does seem smooth. Next shave I will use a blade I’m familiar with.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The star of the shave this morning was the Palmolive Classic Shave cream.. it’s a fantastic cream and it leaves a great slick residue. I live in a hard water too, which some creams and soaps i have struggled to achieve a good lather this is not the case with the humble Palmolive Classic...Superb stuff!:love055:

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups comfort shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a few small squirts of Milton Lloyd London 2000 EdT to the pulse points.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

  12. Superb shave Jeff. Swiss theme? I thought the Leresche was a French made razor?
  13. Very nice setup Jeff. Sorry the shave presented some enjoyment challenges.

  14. I won’t repurchase the soap, but I may purchase the splash again. I am working down the den of the soaps. I have added a few more splashes along the way. If I add any soaps they may tend to be a rather neutral scent that can be paired with a variety of my splashes. Of course I have identified a few that will be repurchases, however, that may be several years down the road.
