What's Your Latest 100 Blade Purchase, And Why??

Zorriks aren't bad considering price . I paid 7 cents each cdn for mine

 

My last 100 blade purchase was actually 150 blades (5 - 30 packs) of Schick Proline Artist Club blades.

Why? I picked up a razor and didn't have any blades to fit it.

I have been working through DE blades (think I still have 600 from previous foolishness), just under 200 Gem Stainless PTFE, and the above mentioned AC blades.

 

I really like the Zorriks. They seem to work really good in just about any razor for me.

While looking at a bunch of Craig's list tools, I spied some Gem blades

150 Gem Stainless blades ..................... $1.00

Why ....... because they go so well with my recently acquired Gem 17 tooth Clog Pruf razor.

 

Just be aware that there are different Gem blades. For shaving you really want the 3 facet ones. If they are two facet, good for scraping paint instead of whiskers.

Either way, that is a good price on blades.

 

Some say the half facet blades aren't all that good.

 

My last 100 blade purchase was today from Connaught Shaving. I ordered Gillette Platinum blades because I have only 15 blades (~3.5 months worth) left. The 100 blades will last me just under two years. A great value for $19.

 

When first started wet shaving I bought 100 personna blue and won a PIF of 200 - 300. After using about 25 personna I realized that I really don’t enjoy them so traded them for some soaps. With trades and purchases I don’t have a shortage, but my son does. I like to try a variety of blades that I’ve heard good things about that way I can build a nice variety as a Christmas gift for my son or use them for trading material.

 

Got a few free blades that came along on a soap purchase that I did.

One of them was. Nacet. Heard good things about them and it shaved well. So I just placed an order for 100 of them. IB currently has them on sale for a good price right now.

 

Nacets are excellent blade!

 

Treet "Black Beauty" Carbon Steel because I had a momentary lapse of reason. There is no good reason other than I wanted to try them, found 100 for pretty cheap, and when for it. I used my first one today and realize I'll never use them all. I think I'll keep a few tucks and PIF them on.

 

So, how much did you pay, and are they worth it??

I found them for $5 and no, not worth it for me since I’ll never use that many. Like I said, it’s ok because I’ll just gift them or something. They just are not very sharp IMO.

 

Thanks. This is why I rarely buy 100 blades, unless I have thoroughly tested them. Once or twice I made the same mistake as you. I gifted many, and most get used by the women of my house. Their legs arent as picky as my face is.

 

I recently bought 150 Feather Artis Club Proguards. Bought them on eBay from Japan. Took a while, but I don’t know any US suppliers who sell bulk packages of them.
