Interested to hear your thoughts on the FMofM, Jim. I had it in a bar soap and wasn’t as wowed by it as I thought I would be.

Well that is a razor one doesn't see often! That is only the second one I have seen in my 12ish years of wet shaving and collecting! Please tell us how the shave is. Very curious!

 

Yeah, that was some fine enabling you did there and I'm happy you did. I love that brush.

I was actually thinking this morning how much I enjoy this scent. If for some reason I had to keep just one scent this would be the one. Will included a bar of the FMoM bath soap that I haven't used yet but the scent of it is pretty indicative of the soap and splash if that helps.

A direct safety razor. It was equipped with a Gillette Super Silver. He is very thorough but, as I said, quite direct. You will notice the blade clearly; it is very light and there is a tendency to exert a certain amount of pressure. But if you don't guide it very discreetly, then it works fine. Now I know again why I wasn’t impressed with the Treet Platinums in the past; the second shave was a lot rougher than yesterday. Tomorrow it’s back to the Personnas.

Blackbird with Personna Super blade tonight. Soap was a lightly scented sandalwood from an aspiring soap maker. Aimed for DFS, ended up with an excellent smooth near BBS finish. First time using Pinaud Lilac Vegetal. Jury still out on that one.

Lather: Proraso Sandalwood Shaving Soap.
Blade: Derby Usta.( D2)
Razor: FaTip Grande.

Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Dana English Leather ASL./ Aloe Vera Gel.
