  10. Hi everyone. I have been away from this thread for the last 4 days. This bug has stayed with me since Sept 30 and it is only know that I feel somewhat normal. It really kicked my butt. The fever we would be as high as 102.3 F and drop to 99.9F. It never stabilized throughout the 2 week window. I had to use a tried and true home remedy to knock this fever on its butt. So, the last 4 days, I used a cold water/alcohol compress. Alas, my temp was 98.9F. I still feel somewhat weak, but that's because I haven't moved or eaten much. The silver lining to this sickiness is that my sinisus are almost completely free of congestion. It is been a long time since I am able to breathe through my nose.

I haven't shaved in almost 4 days so I look terrible. I am ready to lose the Grizzly Adams look. I am going to call upon Artie to get the job done. I will be putting up a review shortly.

  11. I had a quick shave yesterday morning with a 40s style Super Speed and a Wizamet Super Iridium blade. The blade was very sharp but proved to be rough and left some irritation on my trouble spot under the chin. It ended up being a DFS+ shave however. 8/10.

    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: AJ Jordan Old Faithful Cocolobo scales
Brush: Jayaruh 410 with Omega #48 Boar
Lather: Ginger's Garden Obsession Type (1508.5 Project)
    Aftershave: Obsession A/S Balm
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Good to be home shave. After a wonderful weekend in Pittsburgh I am glad to be home to work on some of the outdoor tasks that have been on hold for the last past few weeks. No worries, I know my limitations.

This morning I continued with the 1508.5 Project. I estimate there are either 5 or 6 shaves left in the tub. I had a very nice theee pass shave with the A J Jordan straight. This razor, picked up from Glen Mercurio, is easy to use and extremely sharp. It easily took care of the 24 hour growth.

I am going to enjoy this beautiful late September weather as Mother Nature has decided to keep the cool weather at bay.

    Have a great day gentlemen.
  13. Glad you are finally feeling better. Next time you might want to give a call to Nurse Ratched.

  16. Wonderful shave Paul. I hear elephants fly! Regarding Sandpiper, I have a sample of both the soap and splash. Unfortunately, of all the Stirling soaps I have in the den, this one does not knock my socks off. Not a big fan of the scent. I have no issues with the soaps performance.
