Split Pea soup has never appealed to me before this minute.
  4. Looks tasty....next time put a little Philly Cream cheese in the croissant rolls...... roll it up, then bake :drool :drool :drool
  5. Looks great. There's peas in there?
  6. I'll take a dozen! :drool

Hmmmm.... Chris made Split Pea soup,
Neale's bringing the cream cheese croissant rolls,
    and
    Steve's bringing the cake!

I'd starve without you guys around. ;)
  7. I like mine a lot more creamier like mashed peas. But I will eat that one any day.

  8. I mash ours too and make it more like a watery paste with onions, ham or bacon added...and pepper to taste :)

Chris's soup does look great though, especially on a cold night ;)

Oh, and a dash of brown sugar too :)
  9. Nice to meet you sir. You can send your version of the soup to me at any time. and Thank you in advance.
  10. It thickened up considerably towards the bottom of the pot. The last day, day 5, was the best. Most people would also add celery, but I've never been a fan.

    Brown sugar you say? Interesting!
  11. pea soup

Boil the dried peas and cook them thoroughly. Do not add anything more to the pot. Then eat these cooked peas. They cause lots and lots of gas. They are the cause of a really good fartarama.

  12. Someones been drinking.
  13. I love split pea soup. One of my favorite things to eat.

I may go make some right now. I have yet to eat dinner and am subject to manipulation.
