    SE Shave # 223 - MICROMATIC & DARKFALL MONDAY/ OCtober

    Razor: GEM Micromatic Open Comb
    Blade: GEM Stainless
Brush: Big Cyprass 24mm Silver Tip
    Lather: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Aftershave: Declaration Grooming Darkfall
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
    Declaration Grooming Darkfall EdT

Fabulous Fall scented shave which pairs nicely with this brisk morning here on Long Island. I do enjoy this time of year. Customarily, by the 27th - 31st of October I have to fire up the fireplace insert to begin heating the house. The missus is already cold but has not yet requested for the heat to be put on.

This morning’s shave featured the ever reliable MMOC. As is it’s nice norm, the MMOC delivered a dolphin skin smooth shave. I did not realize that this was my 14th shave with this blade with no signs of diminished returns. So how I must have not be paying attention to the number of shaves on the blade as I like to
bin the blade after the 10th shave. I will try to get one more out of it next Monday.

Hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

I decided to do an easy Monday Menthol shave because I got called to sub for the first day. Proraso is so easy to lather and it really is my go to soap when I don't want to fuss with lathering. The GE Jones ShakeSharp is a razor that flat out works to give a foolproof shave. Two passes and I am good to go. Applied the alum and there was no feedback.Witch hazel and a double portion of the matching aftershave. I am off to work today.
  7. Excellent shave to wow the “Yutes” today.

  16. There has been a mass exodus of regulars these past few weeks. I believe some moved on to a different thread on the 30DC because they consider themselves graduates of this thread and it no longer serves their purpose. A member got permanently banned and his buddy decided to join him on a different shave forum. The people that have remained are great and I appreciate their support. For those of you that moved on, I don't need to be smacked by you. You are great people and it is sad to see you moved on, but you will always have a place to land and that is here.

  19. Hello all, long time no see!

For this evenings shave I decided to use only items that I acquired from the 2019 30dc meetup,
    Gold Dollar 1”
Stirling “Blood On Steel” ss & as
    30dc brush by jspartan

It was a very delightful shave, the edge on the gd has been holding up very well. Two pass dfs, wasn’t going for the bbs since when I do with this razor it normally ends with me screaming when applying the aftershave. 9D62F21E-F168-4CD0-8948-7145E92CAFCB.jpeg

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Nivea Men Power Fresh Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
    FatFace Ocean Escape Soap Bar.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
    Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Home Bargains Stainless Steel Side Bowl.
    Lather: Cella Crema Da Barba.
    Blade: Derby Premium. ( D3)
    Razor: Kanzy K100.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezings, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./P&G Old Spice Original ASL./Boots Freshwood ASB.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

The Derby Premium /Kanzy K100 duo paired together wonderfully. The Kanzy K100 razor isn't the most efficient razor but it gives a close acceptable shave.
It's been quite a while since i last used the cella shaving cream and forgot how much of a wonderful performer it is...Every time i use it's scent reminds me of Cherry Bakewell Tarts...If i had to pick a favourite cream/soap ASL duo then the classic old school Cella Crema Da Barba & P&G Old Spice original aftershave would be a very strong contender.:love055:

A Enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Boots Freshwood ASB.;)

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.
