Doing a little catch up today,

Yesterday a Filarmonica Muleta, soap was the superb sadly discontinued Savonnerie du Bon Berger rosemary lavender lathered with a 2-band Keyhole copy by Scott Lockwood, and a splash of Myrsol AB perfectly complineted the soap.

Today, Heljestrand M.K. 32, soap was Savonnrie du Moulin lathered with a M&F finest, and a little ABC almond balm finished up.

Two very fine shaves as the razors had fresh edges.

Ha, that’s ABC balm in the Cointreau bottle. The glass miniature bottles are perfect for decants of AS.

Henckels Friodur 14, soap was ABC lathered with a M&F Finest, and a little splash of Floris Elite made for a fine autumn shave this morning.

When I was a young man back in the 60’s, and was pursuing my first wife, I used Canoe as my aftershave. These days I suppose it pales in the shadow of more modern scents by Dior, Creed and Tom Ford, but I really like it for sentimental reasons. I lost my girl in 2012 to metastatic cancer. We would have been married for 51 years. I’ve found myself thinking about her since this past Saturday was our anniversary. Thus my use of Canoe this morning.

RAZOR: CV Heljestrand Model 29 (Mug), Gillette New LC
    BLADE: Rapira Platinum
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: MrEE LE Aluminum Handle SynBad Knot #005
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys Lilac WH. Finished with Canoe EdT.
