    Greetings,

    Early morning shave.

It's been a while since i last added the Ach Brito Mongo to my soap rotation. Using my damp Semogue 1305 it created a wonderful slick protective lather in a short space of time with no issues of drying out or dissipating inbetween each pass leaving a wonderful post shave feel.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Fresh Kick ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

The 30DC began in November 2014 with No Variation November. Ostensibly, this was a wisecrack response to movember where people grow a mustache. It's especially sad for those people who are women, but prostate health is wholly different issue. But I digress.

I don't see very many 30-day rules or foci.

I motion that this thread be merged into shave of the day and cease.

That's the original instigator of this thread stating that it has run its course. Of course, that would be yours truly. Somehow, in this strange world we live in o, I became a moderator on a traditional shaving web forum. Ironically, my razor collection would fit inside a coffee cup.

In 2014 my face was a complete disaster due to cartridge shaving. By the spring of 2015 my face looks well enough that I can face the world again. I probably purchased 200 razors oh, only the Lord knows how many soaps, and really went overboard on the gear.

In December of 2014 the future head of the Russian blade cartel and I exchanged direct messages. We talked about how we were failing at shaving then we even swap some blades.

The 30-day thread was the most awful thing on the website. It only averaged about a hundred postings per month. Since most of them were written by me oh, it was hard to read and terrible.

However, it was a place where the techniques were openly discussed and no one was ridiculed for expressing their experience. All razors are functionally the same. Razors simply hold a blade at a fixed angle and remove skin by breaking hair that has been made brittle by alkaline chemicals in air filled water foam.

Through working with others and exchanging ideas and experience oh, we basically tuemed wisdom about shaving upside down.

The ultimate stunt was the original Cinco de Julio. On that auspicious day oh, we super glued and stapled de between popsicle sticks. This essentially resulted in a double edged kamisori.

The ultimate victory was that a gentleman in his late sixties was able to pull off the stunt. The best part was that it was his first straight razor shave ever and he completed one successful pass. He had essential tremor oh, but had followed the adventures of the Misfits together here and got some pretty good ideas on how to solve his own problems. On that day 7 guys attempted and not a single drop of blood hit the Steel.

    We killed:

    Preshave routine

    Shave balm

    Hot towels

    "aggressive versus mild"

    We taught:

    Technique

    Purpose

    Logic

    Kindness

Nothing lasts forever. This was the most amazing experience in a niche interest that I've known. I am, as original instigator, retiring the concept. Please continue to gather with those who bring joy or that you humbly would like to help.

Everyone here should always remember that they are a powerful and unique being, and that potential is far beyond our initial expectation in almost any situation.

It takes far less effort to ignore someone who irritates me then it does to retaliate. I do not have an intrinsic right to remain unoffended. However I found that is time went on I was responsible for my response to said irritant of any type.

Now this is pretty arrogant, because right now the thread is 10 times bigger than it was when I started.

I just think maybe at this time the Prue and the blade cartel bring down the flag for the last time and celebrate a long run with endurance.

The 30-day rule is not my creation but I found it so effective that I was compelled to start a threat I would like to mention @NCoxSTL and remind everyone that he hosted the thread for the longest run ever about four years. He is far more interesting and witty than I as a writer. He also had a unique talent for enforcing kindness. It is fair to say that I actually don't matter and he's the reason it's a success. He was also the guy was direct messaging with in the above-mentioned passage.

Like I said, when I was the primary poster, This Thread was terrible.

What I really enjoyed the most was watching people become experts at applying a piece of Steel to the skin and having the experience as pleasure.

My boilerplate advice to any new convert is to buy the coolest razor your eyes desire. Purchase any blade label you think has a cool graphic design and then learn to master the tools. Then read the post by the more experienced users and ask questions of those who you feel are succeeding.

I again motion that this thread come to an end. However, if someone would like to retain the title and take it back to the roots then I bestow my full blessing up on that effort.

Be kind, practice love, and try harder tomorrow

This is my 3rd consecutive shave with my Dovo shavette. I decided that I will continue using it until the end of this month so it's like a mini focus. I like this soap and splash that I will continue to use it til the end of the month as well.
I just love this setup. Everything went well. Danny's brush is just great at lathering and Music City Soaps Lavender is just awesome. Unfortunately, it is unobtainium.
Truly, I only needed one pass to mow down this 47 hr growth, but the second pass ATG have me a near BBS without bloodshed or irritation. It really was a nice shave.
Did my usual post shave ritual. I got very little feedback from the alum. Splashed on the witch hazel and the lavender aftershave to end this session. It is raining outside, but I am ok with it. Have a nice day, guys!

    Razor: Puma 65
    Brush: Skully
    Lather: Razorock XXX (1508.5 Project)
    Aftershave: Aqua Velva Musk
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original
    Nivea Cool Balm

A fine Nor’easter shave this morning. Nothing like being cooped up in the houses due to a “bomb cyclone”. I decided to mix up the splash, going with a musk scent instead of the citrusy scent of Stirling’s Piacenza.

The Puma 65 provided to finish off the stubble with the usual three passes. Super smooth and comfortable. The add bonus of today’s shave was that Anthony continued interest in the shaving process. He will ask a series of questions while I am shaving. Hopefully, when the time comes he will learn to enjoy the process.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.
