I just got some Voskhods. The box I'm finishing lasted a good long time of consistent shaves.

I bought 100 Gillette Platinum just to have a “go to” blade around. I also picked up 100 GEM PTFE blades which should last a good while.

It’s not a 100 blade purchase but I keep buying King C. Gillette blades like 10 or 20 at a time. I think I’m somewhere around 60 at this point. I would buy many hundreds if they sold them that way. I genuinely like them that much.

I just looked up the prices of 100 count DE blades, on Amazon. Many popular, well made brands, under $9. If I wasn't already stocked to the gills with blades, I would buy a few.

Those are the worst blades I have ever used....the platinum are worse than the stainless!

Last purchase was Astra Superior Platinum. I only bought them because I made another purchase and needed to spend a few more dollars to qualify for free shipping. :)
They’re very good blades and a really bargain for less than $20.00 cad

I think I have a sample tuck of Minora blades. If I do turn I’ll add them to the list to try.

And blades are their worth or not in the particular razor you are using. Those Brit Techs and Brit News like Gillette Platinums in the "Blue Box". I like Feather's and "Med Prep 74-0002 Persona". Nacets are good as well.

Everyone has a shave to face or is it a face to shave? After a 90 seconds of hot wash rag along with Noxzema face cream and one of many soaps and creams, most decent blades will do their intended job.

I am just getting started with wet shaving again after many years. When I was married, I didn't shave except to clean up my beard neckline. I can't remember what razor I may have had back in the 70's...prolly a Gillette. I used 2 and 3 blade carts for a long time and hated them so, I looked for a safety razor and discovered a whole new world! Shaving is enjoyable again! I have so far bought a 100 pack of the Feather blades which are THE blade for my Muhle R89 & R89 Twist. I really like the Sharp blades so, I got a 100 pack of those and a 100 pack of Crown for all around blades. I an still going thru the 90 blade sample pack I got last fall too. SO many options and they don't cost an arm & leg.

I don't sport a beard anymore and now, I don't see how i tolerated one for so long! (my ex-wife wanted me to have one). Shave time is looked forward to now.
