Razor: JR Torrey Celebrated Hollow Ground
Brush: Hembree Derlin Paragon Boar 25 mm
    Lather: Razorock XXX
    Aftershave: PAA Black Bot
    Additional Care:
    Nivea Cool Balm
    Stirling Alum Block
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Another fantastic shave with the JR Torrey Celebrated Hollow. While I was stropping the razor my son Anthony came into the den to observe the process. He has been showing an increasing interest in the wet shaving process over the past few months. He innocently asked it he could have a try at the stropping process. I explained the process and my reasons for not letting him use the straight razor. Instead, I went to the kitchen to retrieve a butter knife. After a quick tutorial, he eagerly and slowly followed my directions to perform the strapping movement. He seemed to get the hand of it quickly. Definitely a proud Papa moment.

I proceeded to have a three pass shave. Anthony had already left for school. The shave was smooth and comfortable. There was no irritation reported by the alum block. The usual witch hazel, balm and aftershave has left to face feeling wonderfully smooth. Tomorrow and Friday I will continue with the November mini focus are using the same soap, brush and razor. It is a two day mini focus. The razor for the next two shaves will be the Genco Old Dutch straight. This razor is such a smooth shaver.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

I missed a point on this post earlier. This will be my 5th soap. There is an outside chance that I could complete a sixth if I continue the November mid weekday mini focus through the month of December.
The five soaps that will be completed as of this Friday are:
    Razorock X
    Loose Screw Uncomfortably Numb
    Uncle Jon’s Gravity
    Ginger’s Garden Obsession Type
    Razorock XXX

Luckily, I had this setup and pic completed last night because I got the call to sub today. I am doing in school suspension for the entire day and subbing an Englush Honors 9th grade class. Anyway, I had the soap blooming and the brush soaking overnight so it was very quick for me to lather. 2 passes gave me a BBS - shave without errors. Did my usual alum treatment and there was not any feedback. Finished with the witch hazel and the Old Spice for a nice quick shave. Have a great day guys!

Thanks Joe. I will be shaving tomorrow night because I will be subbing Friday. I don't have anything picked out for the shave, except the razor.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

The body shop maca root cream is such an incredible great value for money shave cream...I have enough cream for one more shave then the tub will be empty.. This is the original tub i purchased which i have had well over 2.5 years but it's still perfectly ok to use it's slightly dis-coloured but hasn't have any adverse affect on the lather or to my skin... It's always provided me with a superb slick protective lather....People have a love/hate opinion on it's scent, which doesn't get top marks from me either, but it's residual slickness protection ,shaving performance, & post shave feel are absolutely superb.

Another enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Wilko Fruits Coconut & Vanilla Body Butter.

My face is feeling smooth cool, & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

Great shave today with Central Texas Soaps(Grandpa's Barbershop)and the 12.5 oz. Clubman A.S.. And a Clubman shave brush for that added barbershop feeling. 0:40 to load the CTS onto the Clubman brush, then 0:10 later in the shave(during the 2nd pass). The brush really glid(ahh all right, glided)across my face and neck. I missed a small section of my left cheek at first, but had the presence of mind to go back and get it before moving along with the rest of the shave. Zero cuts, zero Knicks. Well done at Cactus Nation. Porcupine Alley turned out fine. Outta This World Excellent. Great for Veterans Day. Now it's off to MY barbershop for a cut.
