Thanks Joe. I am going to use the Herder on my next shave to see if I still need to tweak it.

I am a citrus fan so I see no reason why you shouldn't use it any time of the year. Great shave, pic and setup Gary. :)

OK I decided to test the refreshing of this razor and I have got to say I was disappointed. I had to do 2 passes and a touchup and the result was a DFS which I never had before. At least I didn't get any cuts or irritation. I think the problem may lie with the Chromium Oxide (Crox). It may have been worn out and that it needed a fresh dose of Crox. I made a note to lightly hone this razor on my lapping films.
As far as the prep for this shave, I heavy loaded the Proraso and it was an epiphany because I really felt the menthol. However it still pales in comparison with Cryogen. Did my usual post shave routine and finished with the Proraso Green aftershave.

I figured it was time to do a headshave. My favorite soap for headshaving is Arko. It is super slick and I get cueball smooth regardless of the razor or blade. I used Mr EE Tuxedo Brush for this shave. The razor was the Mühle R102 with a Gillette 7'oClock PermaSharp blade. The feedback on the alum was negligible. Instead of the Proraso AS, I used the Nivea For Men Maximum Hydration Balm.
    Have a goodnight gents!

    Focus on the Fat Wed
I turned to my little-used curiosity tonight, the $10 Snmirn. A smooth comfortable shaver, even when dialed all the way up to 8. Nice comfortable shave tonight. The Fat is now at the top of my list of favorite soaps.

Thanks Eric. I am Italian descent so I have to like Italian brands like Proraso, Cella and Razorock. Lol!
