Today, I made a small order with Maggard's
I purchased Ted Pella Injector blades. Supposedly, they are rebranded Personna Injector blades. I got 20 blades 6 dollars. That's approximately 30 percent of the cost for approximately the same amount for Schick's Injector blades. I hope they will be good blades, but we shall see. I also bought another Maggard's Alum Block because I dropped my current one and it broke in pieces. I am still able to use them. Btw, the alum was 98 cents for the travel size of 95g because of the Black Friday Special I also purchased a large Clubhouse styptic.

Today, it was Stirling's Frankincense and Myrrh to step up to the plate. I have been trying a little twist on blooming the soap that I learned from Doug Bear who is a shaving youtuber. He calls it foaming. Essentially, you fill the lid from the puck about half full. Tightly shut the tub or container upside down because it gets sloppy if you pour the water onto the soap from the lid. Shake until you don't here any sloshing sounds. Open the container and you have a foamy preshave. I have found that this method makes the scents pop. I finally got a better whiff of F and H. It is an earthy, pleasant scent, but I still won't repurchase.
The razor is the little brother of my other C-Mon and it is just as sharp. Two and a half passes and I had a nice, close, comfortable shave. The alum after affirmed it with no feedback. Finished with the rest of my post shave ritual. Have a good afternoon.

OK! Since I am in the mood to purchase things for very little outlay, I decided to cash in on my Stirling Reward account. I redeemed my 500 points for a 5 soap sample pack. I only had to pay for the shipping. I have never tried these scents so what better way then to get samples that were essentially free.

The scents that I selected are the following:

    Barbershop

    Bergamot Lavender

Executive Man ( Creed Adventus Dupe)

    Intrepid Man

    Triumph

Now I really don't need any more soaps, but trying new items for just shipping is a deal for me. Besides, I have a soap or two hat will be gone in a few months. LOL!

They total 5 oz which is 8 tenths of an oz less than a full tub. It is nice that Stirling offers a 5 sample pack for just 18 dollars. It is good for the consumers to try soaps to see what they like instead of being disappointed with a full tub that just doesn't suit them. Stirling Frankincense and Myrrh comes to mind.. However, I am sure that I will like the scents that I selected.

I agree. However, Stirling increased their prices, but not by much. A full tub is now $13.95. That's just a 20 cent increase.
