I hope everyone is doing great! It is hard to believe this year is almost gone.

For some reason I've been on a Soap Commander kick since the end of October. I enjoyed the Fortitude sample so much that I had to order a tub of the goodness. I also ordered a Timeless shave bowl in black from Maggard as well. My son confiscated my blue Timeless bowl a while back so I treated myself with the black one. These are the best and most durable bowls I have found.

    Colibri (Hummingbird) with 1.1mm plate.
    Feather blade
Delrin brush handle with black Dscosmetics synthetic knot.
    Soap Commander Fortitude shave soap.
    Cremo Bourbon and Oak EdT

Awesome shave this morning with the 1.1mm plate in the Colibri. Last week I was running the .8mm plate. I think the 1.1mm is the sweet spot.

The Fortitude by SC for some reason is a soap that I keep grabbing in the morning. I really enjoy the scent and the performance is just top notch slickness.

Last month I run my Karve with the "E" solid bar plate for most of the month.

    Anyway.....enough of my rant.

    Take care everyone!

Glad to hear from you Danny. I agree that the Timeless bowls are great performers. I reach for my blue one today as well. Fantastic shave.

Very good shave this morning. 0:40 to load the Razorock soap (Gold)onto the brush. At first the soap went on a little too wet, as it appeared there was more water on my face and neck than the soap. But it dried out a bit as I began scrubbing (that is, there soon became more soap/less water).. Another one of those "You're gunna need that second pass" shaves. No negative issues on the first. Cheeks&Sideburns great. Ditto Porcupine Alley. Down south at Cactus Nation proved to be a little more challenging. No blood, at least. I carefully went over the Adam's Apple. Speed is not an option there. More astrtoturf left at the ingrowns, but maybe I shouldn't worry so much-what's done is done. Overall, Super Duper Excellent.

Nothing wrong with a second pass, even a third. Yuk, Yuk!

Nice session Paul. When I have too much water than soap on my face, then I flick the brush to release the excess water and then go to the puck to add soap.

I did a little flicking, but not much on the adding.

I have always said that you sometimes have to adjust the soap/water ratio during your shave. If too much of one or the other, then add the component that is quite less. Most of the time, if you are spot on with your lathering method, then you won't need to do a ratio correction, but it does happen to the best of us.
