  9. You are quite welcome Eric. That's what we do in this forum and that is tontry to share our experiences to help other shavers. I was going to mention Gillette 7 o'clock and the Astra Green blades. I have tried the Astra Bues, but they are a little harsh to me, but I have read that the Astra Greens are so much better. Looking forward to more of your posts . Take care.

  12. It had to be a new blade. You probably landed lopsided and that's a no-no. What was the setting on the FB? If it was higher than a 6 then maybe you should lower it and do more buffing to get to military standard.

  14. I just want to throw out this question. Do you set up your razor, soap, brush and postshave items the day before or on the day of your shave?
I usually set it up the night before and I also take the pic at that time also.

  15. Idk with my hormonal changes just from aging I’m having to shave every day now consecutively. Honestly I had it on setting 6. It gives me a nice close shave. But the only problem is I gotta whatch how I angle that blade with a new blade.

  17. I am not consistent about when I shave so I tend to go with what feels right at the time. There are days where I have something lined up because I have something new to try or I've read something that influences what kind of shave I'd like.

  18. December Focus Shave #7

    Razor: Muhle Rocca
    Blade: Rapira Lux
    Brush: Omega 10077
    Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Barbershop
    AS: Skin Bracer

    IMG_20211209_192920125.jpg

Nothing makes me smell like I just walked out of Pete's Barbershop in 1975 like this classic. Even has the faint hint of cigarrette smoke. Why do I have a sudden urge for an Orange Tootsie Pop?

After using the 3one6 last night, I had to use the razor it is often compared to, the Muhle Rocca. The Rocca is indeed a smooth and efficient shaver, with more weight and heft in the head than the 3one6. Although both are excellent razors, my personal preference goes to the 3one6. The Rocca has a little more smoothness, but the 3one6 is a bit lighter, more nimble, has a touch more efficiency, and all around more elegant.
  19. Well it is part of the learning process of shaving. I have 50.yrs of shaving experience and I am still learning. Thank goodness you didn't need stitches.
