Priced lower than Seiko 5, hybrid solar movement. I recharge by strapping to the blinds in my east facing room and allowing the sun to shine upon it for 6 hours every third week or so. It constantly recharges from my light and I like minimalist pilot watch aesthetic. .
Nice. What is the case size on this one? There is a titanium UK release of the Promaster Tough that I wanted for a while. It has the same vibes. https://www.citizenwatch.co.uk/promaster-tough-bn0118-04e.html
It appears to also have its roots firmly in WWII pilot watches I would say do this: Swiss auto https://www.jomashop.com/hamilton-mens-khaki-king-watch-h70455733.html Highly recommended, ask @wristwatchb Sent from my motorola edge plus using Tapatalk
The bracelet is so well executed. How do you like it? What is the width of that? Sent from my motorola edge plus using Tapatalk
The bracelet is just a generic Geckota mesh strap. The watch came with a leather racing style strap (good quality) but I like the convenience of a mesh strap.
I had been a watch wearer for most of my life until I started carrying a phone around with me all the time at which point the watch seemed redundant. I have a few nicer watches, a few from my grandfather, and a Citizen that was a wedding gift. I really don't like metal watch bands of any type so I almost never wear those. I've also had a bunch of cheaper watches over the year, most of which served their purpose and then were unceremoniously disposed of when they eventually died. I have a few that survived that were in the back of a drawer. I got a wild hair a few months ago and decided to replace the batteries and bands. The two I fixed were a Timex Expedition and a Timex Ironman Triathalon. I found a really great canvas strap for the Expedition, probably nicer than the watch itself and a silicone one for the Ironman. I couldn't find the original specialty strap that the Ironman came with but I really like the one I ended up buying. I pretty much always wear it because I use the timer and multiple alarms daily. It's become a trusted companion after having been forgotten for a decade.
The Mako II has been on Amazon for $133. I keep wanting to get it, but am having issues justifying the purchase as I have a 300M Citizen Dive watch already. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01AK5TQXG/?tag=thshde-20
