This one came to me from Europe. Looked rather NOS when I got it. It had some issues like a mild amount of extra metal in the center of the blade and a little messed up geometry. Finally, yesterday I was able to get an edge using a Diamond plate 400/1000 and onto the Welsh progression. Today was the test shave with a boar brush and Mitchels wool fat. This blade was really good! Facial hair and a head shave. Really nice edge! Stubborn, hard metal finally paid off with some patience and multiple honing sessions.

A little more C.V. Heljestrand for the Swedish fans, the razor is a No 140, made for the Japanese market but otherwise it’s a full hollow, slightly wider version of the M.K. 133.

Soap was Valobra-made Czech and Speake 88 lathered with a Thäter boar, and 88 was also the AS. Perfect Sunday morning shave.

    Nice steel gentlemen!

Kikuboshi 6500 Silver Steel by Perfect Works, soap was S.V Flying Mango (I need to come up with a bowl) lathered with a Thäter boar. Floris Elite AS was a good compliment to the woody soap scent.
