    That is one beautiful razor, Joseph! I’m sure it’s a great shaver! I have a Mk 29 I picked up off one of the Swedish sites. Are those ivory scales?

    Shave of the Week Starting 20 December 2021

    Weber DLC razor
    Gillette 365 blade
    WD Synthetic brush
    Williams Menthol SC
    Osage Rub/Witch Hazel w/aloe
    Assorted A/S

    Although the Williams SC works very well, the scent is off putting for me. If it's not better tomorrow I'll change to something else, maybe Arko maybe not. Regardless the scent situation, I got a right dandy shave this morning and my face is happy. The Gillette 365 blades don't get a lot of love on any of the shaving boards and that's to bad. For me they are great, smooth, comfortable and very efficient. I like them a lot. Now go enjoy those Christmas week shaves folks

    Today was a break from my usual every other day routine. Whether it was the lesser stubble or just the blade, I don’t know, but I do know that this near wedge Sheffield from one of my favorite makers provided a super, super smooth shave :happy036:

    Hot water preparation
    Argan Oil PSO

    Razor: Gem Damaskeene open comb 1912- Mfg 1912-17, the real McCoy, Well built for generations, tame mid range, excellent shaving with a fairly fresh blade. One of my better razors in my harem of razors.
    Blade: Gem Personna SS PTFE (3) very sharp, great longevity, smooths out nicely + predictable.
    Soap: Razorock The Dead Sea, + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
    Brush: Yaqi Tailcoat 24mm synthetic, 1st use, excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice scrub + great lather painter.
    Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
    Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
    Post shave: Razorock The Dead Sea AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizer lotion + scentless.
    Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= [​IMG] Silky smooth shave with my Gem Damaskeene OC 1912 with a coated SS Gem blade.

    First shave in 4 or 5 days. First use of the TSD cream and it was nice. It will take a me a few shaves to dial in the amount of product, but it was a very nice 2 pass shave.
