First run with the Focus Concave. It is definitely more aggressive than the flat top and delivers and excellent shave. Three very nice passes with one weeper. It is a smooth shaver and I just need to get it dialed in. It is definitely a keeper.

“ECWS Top 5 Soaps Used for the First Time for 2021” - # 3 for 2021 is the HuB City Red Cabin in the Woods. The scent is described as follows on the Hub City website: “The scent opens up with tobacco flower, nutmeg, and anise. Ginger, clove, and vanilla make up the heart. And this all rests on benzoin, tonka, and musk.” This soap pairs nicely with my Libertalia aftershave and the PAA Meta Nectar Star Jelly. Today, I chose to go with the Star Jelly.

Finally, Joe, @Trigger, and I had another wonderful meet up today. We out did ourselves being a bunch of chatterboxes for almost three hours. Some of you folks in the Tri-Star area should join us for another round of high jinx.

Tattoo turned out really good on my appointment on December 29th. Been healing up good since I’ve been making sure to take care of it. We’re at the itching faze of the healing process. But looks great!

Excellent shave Barry. Do you have a Merkur 37c as well in your den. If so, how does it compare to the 34c? Joe, @Trigger, and I were discussing the 37c, which I have, at today’s meet up.

 

Fabulous shave Jeff. I agree the GEM 1912 is a wonderfully efficient razor. The Art Deco design just adds to it’s lure.

Just a few days late past new years. Hope everyone had a good new years. Spent a lot of time catching up back home with friends and family. I’m sure you all have been doing the same. We had a good church service New Year’s Eve night. Mom wanted me to get in blues for that event. I generally hate wearing them in public just for certain reasons. I don’t like that boot look about it. You’ll pretty much never catch me in uniform unless it’s a unit event. But I figured I’d Atleast do it for mom. Anyway I’m heading to camp Lejeune here real soon in about 3 weeks. Looking forward to finally settling down. Hope y’all are well. I’m curious to know who stayed faithful to their no buy 21 challenge.
