  2. Right cheek, as I described. How about a compromise to MOST EXCELLENT, as I got rid of it, but not immediately after the shave, as I didn't notice it right away?

  4. Congratulations, Charlie...you made it to become one of the "3 others" who liked my post. :)
  5. Joe, I just found out that Doc Ezlovan took Spice off the menu..the poster hopes the Doc will bring it back soon. What do you know about this(if anything)?

  6. Excellent shave and thanks for the history of your razor Jeff. Have a terrific Sunday!

  7. I didn't get a memo from Rod about it. I am thinking that it may be temporary because he can't get the essential oils needed to make it. I am shocked because
I would think it would be one of his top sellers.

  8. Lovely shave, as usual, Barry!
My pleasure, my friend! I was concerned you might not like the “limey” reference. After all, it wouldn’t be a “Barry” shave without your closing, “My face is feeling super smooth and smelling divine.” :D

  10. Another shave with yesterday's set up, but with a blade change.

A new sChick blade was used. From my log, Put a new sChick blade in the Type J. Shave is maybe a little milder (?) but still getting weepers at mouth corners. I do think it is acne like bumps, either rosacea or maskne. For comparison, I put the Japanese Schick blade into the Type I and will use it tomorrow. The Messier did great with a soak and more water added during the shave. There did seem to be a "bump" when I first started to face lather, but I then dipped the brush and lathered more in the scuttle. This improved the splay and the "bump" disappeard.
  11. Right-I'll have a look myself. If he did, we both are "grandfathering" it...but it should be back. I didn't get an e-mail from him either.

  12. Sorry to hear about the weepers, Eric, but hey it happens in this hobby, and, as you point out, wearing masks can certainly encourage the kind of bumps leading to weepers for us wet shavers.

    SE Shave # 234 - Sample Shave

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Schick-Injector Type G
    Blade: Persona Injector
    Brush: JTSpartan Boar 24 mm
Lather: Los Jabones de Joserra Aquas de Gredos
    Aftershave: PAA Old Salty
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

As a result of the recent discussions regarding the various injector razors I decided to break out the Type G razor.

One of my goals for the New Year is to continue with my den reduction. To that end I have decided to try to include samples as well.
This morning’s shave featured the Aquas de Gredos which has a ocean type scent to it which pairs nicely with the PAA Old Salty aftershave. Jason’s brush, @jtspartan, which up a voluminous slick lather to compliment three passes of a smooth and comfortable shave. The post shave was excellent with a silent alum report and wonderful scent of the splash.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

  15. That's weird-I was just there too and didn't see it. Ongoing investigation. And just now I see the soap. 71 reviews-last one being back in April, 2021.I hope I was one of the 71.

  16. Despite the criers, you had a nice shave Eric. I find that if I shave upwards in that area, then I sometimes get weeps also. However, I usually have the edge at a 45 degree angle and the weeps are more infrequent. The area is tough to shave because the hair is much coarser. Enjoy your day.

  17. Nice setup, pic and shave Joe! Did you ever try the Chicks? If so, how does the Personna compare to Chicks?

  18. Thanks for enlightening me. Below is a picture of mine. Perhaps you can determine if it meets the qualification to be a rattler.
