Wonderful set of shaves Jeff. Regarding the wonderful collection of razors, you could ship some to me. I would not mind and would assure you that I would put them to good use.

Thank you Joe. By Chicks, are you referring to some Japanese or Chinese knockoff blade or the Schick injector Chromium? I have only used the Personna over the last three years.
Years ago, early twenties, I did use the Schick Chromium.

Believe me Jeff I have been called worse than a “limey” in the past, of which i wouldn't like to repeat due to the fear of having a life time ban from 'The Shave Den forum'....I'm not offended by your all-in-fun derogatory banter... Facts:.. The Royal Navy was persuaded to issue lime juice in its official grog ration and British “limey”seamen became the healthiest in the world.. Within six days, the sailors who ate the oranges and lemon felt better and were able to work again. The other sailors in the experiment felt worse. The ill sailors were suffering from a lack of vitamin C, now known as Scurvy. They had plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables when they first set out on the voyage. But fresh foods ran out on the long voyage, and they suffered symptoms from this lack. After this finding, sailors often brought lime juice aboard ship because it could be stored longer. This is how sailors earned the nickname “limey”...Have a great coming week my 'Yankee Doodle Dandy' friend. yours-Barry.

:signs001: Joe...Most of my shave set ups are very inexpensive. The shave set up i used today was one of my first, when i entered the wonderful world of traditional wet shaving , of which i like to return to once every so often..It show's you don't need to have expensive shaving products to get good shaving results...Technique trumps tools...Take care. Yours- Barry.

It looks like it could be! If the blade looks like a thin plate, then yes. Could you send me a profile pic of the toe. If you can’t check out the following profiles below and see if your razor seems to fit.

Great shave kit, Joe. Will your den reduction include straights? If so, keep me in mind before listing them. I’ve got serious straight RAD! :angry017: :D

Thanks for the support! The doc that I see for the management of the rosacea told me that "maskne" is due to irritation of the skin. Severe cases line a cloth mask with silk and maskne is greatly reduced. FWIW, this is information from over a year ago.

I am going to services this evening so a shave is in order. I am continuing to use my seasonal scents and Stirlimg Christmas Eve was my choice. It really is a great scent. I always get a great, slick lather with this brand. It is so easy to make a lather that I recommend it to newbies and vets of the wetshaving community.
On two passes and without touchups, Artie gave me a near BBS shave that was error-free. Did my usual postshave ritual and ended it hy splashing the wonderful, matching aftershave. Take care gents.

Thus far, out of all my safety razor shaves, I can definitely say that SE razors have been my best. I keep trying DE razors and blades, mostly because I find it interesting to experiment. Honestly though, I could just stick with SEs and be happy.

I'm not sure if you know specifically what lanolin smells like but that's basically all I get. To my nose, it's a very clean, somewhat soapy smell that is too light to be offensive. I do understand if people don't like it. I'm fairly certain that all of Stirling's soaps have lanolin in them and I can't smell it in any of the others I have.

The real question I have is how did you get your Wilkinson Classic razor to stand up like that?

I was concerned of the mutton tallow. There have been reviews that Sheep has a musky smell. I have used Stirling Glastonbury and it has mutton tallow, but the scent hides it. It seems Sheep does not have a frag to hide the mutton tallow and that's why I never bought it.

Thank you Jeff. My den reduction is only for soaps. I will be increasing my razor acquisition of straight. As you know I have a few that I have begun to restore. How many of the restored razors I will keep will depend. Perhaps I May gift a few.

I guess the question would be, why would the scent be any different than MWF?
