Oh my God am I ever frozen to the max - my brother Fernando whipped up a menthol lover’s dream come true when he made this hyper mentholated version of Citrus Melody. The regular version is also damned cold but this one is absolutely so lethal that it kicks the other big boys like the Stirling Glacials and the Chiseled Face Cryogen in their butts. The scent is the same - a gorgeous blend of lemon, lime, orange and perhaps grapefruit, the lather does require a bit of effort to get it right but once you do it’s great, the slickness is certainly there, the menthol effect beats the crap out of you, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep moisturizes my skin so well, it’s so soothing as well as cooling, not to mention how frigid the Citrus Melody aftershave is. I can’t believe how BBS I ended up - what a shave!

This Frosted Lavender soap is a menthol atom bomb with a gorgeous classy lavender scent, awesome lather which is so slick thanks to the tallow formula, the freeze is easily comparable to any of the Stirling Glacials, and the skincare is perfect. The Prep balm doesn’t lack menthol either - it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing, and the Krampert’s Frostbite aftershave kept that freeze going. My first shave of this month turned out A1 - Smoother than silk!

This Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave are not only freezing cold, they smell absolutely GORGEOUS. The strawberry notes are more dominant in the scent but you can still pick up a little lemonade as well. The lather is so rich, the slickness is fantastic so the blade skates across your face, and the menthol sensation pummels you as soon as you start lathering up not to mention how much stronger it gets with each pass. The Glacial Unscented balm moisturizes and gives lots of extra menthol goodness, and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave has such great staying power- not only that, it feels borderline painful (in a good way!) because it’s so frigid. The Minora blade is quite a bit duller but it still helped me get a super duper BBS shave!

Damn, it’ll probably take a whole day for my face to thaw out after all this menthol - my brother Fernando whipped up two winners with his Wintergreen soap which is tallow based, it has the same beautiful scent as the Stirling Glacial Wintergreen, the lather is just as rich, creamy, slick, as well as protective, the menthol sensation may even be a bit stronger so it can freeze the crap out of you, and the skincare is perfect. The Glacial Wintergreen balm delivered such a good extra freeze along with such great moisturizing and soothing, while Fernando’s Wintergreen aftershave smells so lovely, it’s witch hazel based so there’s no stinging or burning and its menthol kick is insane - it beats the Arctique from Barrister & Mann. Another picture perfect BBS shave!

My face is still tingling like hell after this intense menthol bombardment - the Glacial Electric Sheep soap has such a beautiful scent which is a blend of lemon, citronella, and eucalyptus, it’s the first and only mutton tallow Glacial soap and the lather is so rich, slick, soothing, and protective, the menthol sensation is so cold that it feels borderline painful but in a good way, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Glacial Unscented balm froze me some more and gave me terrific moisturizing as well as soothing, while the Snake Bite aftershave left me almost shivering - man is that stuff frigid. Smoother than silk from three glorious passes!

These Minora blades are so awesome - today was my thirteenth shave with this one and it has dulled out quite a bit but it’s still performing well. The Glacial Lemon Chill soap…..wowwww, it’s got such a delightful scent, the lather is a real pleasure to work up - it’s so rich, the slickness is fantastic, the menthol sensation is so intense, and the postshave feeling is heavenly - my skin is so well moisturized and comfortable. The matching balm delivers the same beautiful scent, it’s so soothing, it feels icy cold, and it gives a lot of moisturizing. The matching aftershave is a real menthol atom bomb. The Pe Re Ja cologne is from Turkey and it has a lovely lemony scent and there’s a story behind it. Three passes gave me a terrific BBS shave!

Man oh man I wish that Rod hadn’t discontinued the Glacial Eskimo Tuxedo because it’s such an awesome soap. The scent is so gorgeous, it’s such a pleasure to lather, it’s so slick, the menthol sensation is enough to freeze a polar bear out of the North Pole, and the postshave feeling is wonderful. The Glacial Unscented balm and the Snake Bite aftershave are two fabulous menthol atom bombs with great skincare also. This shave was nothing short of perfection - am I ever BBS!

Oh la la this Glacial Strawberry Lemonade soap and aftershave smell so delicious - the soap is tallow based like all of Rod’s soaps, the lather is such a pleasure to work up, it’s super slick, the menthol sensation is so intense, and the skincare is perfect. The Glacial Unscented balm is so frigid, soothing, as well as moisturizing, and the Glacial Strawberry Lemonade aftershave has the same gorgeous scent as the soap not to mention how bone chillingly cold it is. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that I enjoyed so much!

Another wonderful Grand Freeze!

The same type of frigid setup but with a different scent - the Glacial Citron is a lovely blend of lemon, grapefruit, and tangerine with a little lime thrown in, the beef tallow formula gives the lather great slickness - hell, my razor felt like it was skating across my face, the menthol sensation from this soap is so potent, and the skincare is perfect. I finally finished off the Glacial Unscented balm, and the Glacial Citron aftershave not only froze my face to smithereens it smells as beautiful as the matching soap. This was such an enjoyable three pass BBS shave!

The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #20 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Merkur Progress Razor with a Wilkinson Sword SS Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Osage Rub. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

We’re having a HUGE snowstorm today - between 15-20 centimetres of the white crap are expected but thank goodness I don’t have to go anywhere so I’m ok. This morning I enjoyed Fernando’s awesome Frosted Lavender soap so much - that gorgeous scent filled the bathroom, the lather worked up so thick, rich, and super slick, the menthol sensation froze me to smithereens, and the postshave feeling was great. The Prep gives me the best additional care of any balm I ever used, and the Frosted Lavender aftershave is another menthol atom bomb with a lovely scent - it seems to pair very well with the Quorum eau de toilette. Smoother than silk but the Gillette Platinum blade is getting tired!
