    You stropped afterwards, I assume. You should try pasted strops, some honemeisters (Glen & Howard Schlecter) believe a good edge can be maintained for a very long time using them!

    Below are a couple of pictures of “practice” scales I made with the blanks of “hobby wood” using a scroll saw. I did not want to use the kirinite scale blank that I have until I am comfortable with forming out the pattern.

    Joe! I don’t rinse that often even with 4/8” razors. Perhaps depending upon how much lather you put on

    Blade: Nacet
    Brush: Simpson Trafalgar 3
    Soap: Wholly Kaw La Superieure Dolci Tobacco cream
    A/S: Wholly Kaw Bare

    Wonderful face and head shave using the open comb side tonight. The Dolci Tobacco cream is quite an elegant and masculine scent.
