I had a repeat shave this morning. I had a close shave yesterday with the CV H, however, although relatively close I felt it’s performance was a bit lacking compared to previous shave with the razor. As a result, I refreshed the blade using the Naniwa 12k stone. Today’s shave was more efficient as well as comfortably close. The alum report was silent and the post shave feel was just fabulous. I would say that the refreshing of the blade was successful.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

Thank you Jeff. It is definitely a fun process as it progresses. Time will tell. I have a few blanks of kirinite scales, Lava Flow and Storm Trooper., that I will eventually be comfortable enough will my ability to shape them. Additionally, I plan to learn how to make micarta scales.

Thanks Joe! Also, I used my favorite #1 brush also. I couldn't miss with this setup. After 8 consecutive shaves and hitting a total of 20 shaves a la focus, I am putting Artie away until next month. My next straight razor for Jumbo January will be my 7/8 Henckels Friodur.

Hi guys! I did an afternoon headshave. Once again, I decided to use my Mühle R102 with Cremo brushless shave cream as a preshave and Arko shave soap. I am truly impressed with using Cremo and Arko for headshaves. I am cueball smooth with very little effort. Feedback from alum was zip. After witch hazel treatment, I splashed some Stirling Bay Rum and there was not a burn. Btw, I had a Rockwell DE blade on its second use in the razor and the Hembree/Maggard Timherwolf synthetic brush to lather the Arko. Separately, Arko and Cremo give great headshaves, but working in tandem, they bring it to another level. Take care.
