    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Fabulous shave this morning with my only Japanese straight and the Stirling SDM. The JRSpartan boar brush whipped up a nice slick lather. Of course, you Stirling Fly Boys already new that fact about the Stirling soap. For the price point, you get unbelievable quality and performance which rivals the more expensive artisanal soap on the market.

I did my customary three pass shave which resulted in a super smooth and dolphin like face feel. You can not get any better than that.

I hope you all have a great day gentlemen.

    January Injector Focus Shave #6
    Pre-shave: None
    Lather: La Toja stick
    Brush: Yaqi Timber Wolf 26mm
    Razor: Parker Adjustable Injector (5, 4, 2)
    Blade: Supply Black Label (1)
    Aftershave: None
    Post-shave: Nivea Sensitive balm

Today was injector focus shave number 6 and I used a Parker Adjustable razor. I have been enjoying this exercise and getting some great shaves until today that is. I've had a few decent shaves with it but today wasn't one of them. I had a few nicks and some irritation, both being very conspicuous compared to my other injector shaves this month.

This was my first shave with La Toja soap and any shave stick. I can happily report that it worked very well. The fragrance is a pleasant soapy smell. I rubbed it directly on my face and then used a damp brush to lather. As I've seen in videos but not experienced myself, the lather magically sprang forth from my cheeks with a minimum of effort. So much fun!

I had a three-pass shave that ended in a few nicks and some irritation. This is definitely my least favorite injector sad to say. I'm just being honest. I'm not giving up on it so I'll try again someday and hopefully, I can get a better shave then.

Thanks for reading and happy shaves!

I have two daughters and one grandson, just one month old, so it will probably take a while until he shave himself….

Thanks Joe. I am happy with the reliable old fashioned soaps like Cella, Proraso, Arko and Tabac. If they are the only soaps in my den, I can live with it. However, I must admit most artisan soaps add more interesting scents to the mix.

Too bad about the nicks Eric. I think it may be wise to put it away for a time. As your technique improves, you may be surprised that it will shave well for you. In my case, I started with a Van der Hagen TTO razor. It is a mild non-adjustable razor. I got fine shaves, but they weren't great. Hence, I never used it as frequently as I did when I acquired more safety razors. It wasn't until I did my 10 day focus that I was able to get great shaves with it. I attribute it to my shaving experience over the years to assess what was needed to get good results with that razor. So, that's my story and I believe you will get that injector to give you great shaves.

I feel bad about being repetitive, but wow, another marvelous shave! Today was with what I call my Type M V2. This has the blade lock/guard switch, made during and after 1973. This Type M can also handle the Schick Injector II twin blade. Ethos Clean provided the lather and a Semogue 830 applied said lather to my face, after it was warmed in a scuttle. Great way to start a cold morning.
