Thanks, Karl! I’m really looking forward to that first shave! Of course, I have to act properly surprised on my birthday.
Three of them polished and cleaned, they are greased with Ballistol Oil waiting for the Stones. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
You scored big, my friend! A Bengall and Soderen in addition to the five other razors qualifies as a haul. You might even be able to sell one and recoup your investment!
Thanks Jeff, my plan is to sell a couple of them . Keeping the ones I like. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
Just got this kamisori two days ago. Handle is broken but I think the names on the sides are Yasuki and Kikusui. Getting an edge on it slowly. It is a little stubborn but getting there.
This little custom Kamisori caught my eye… Tony Milton creation out of the UK Suminagashi Steel Should be a fun change of pace razor. Happy hunting. Tom
Latest acquisition, CVH MK No.30 with Ivory scales. Really not the best picture from the seller on the auction site. Perhaps a little like the Pig in the sack, but for $30 it’s a bargain only for the scales. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
So i have to know. Is this a mismatched set? Did i get a deal at $30? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
It is a mismatched set as Red Imps were stamped by three trademarks over time that I remember: Morris, Case and Ludo. I’ve also read that Ludo was a trademark of Morris and some Morris’ were stamped Made the the USA by Case, so maybe they all tie back to Case. I’ve owned a 132 and it was a near wedge grind and yours looks to have minimal hone wear, so I think you found a winner. The scales on these blades sometimes shrink and the blade tip hits the wedge, but I always liked the design of the Red Imp logo. Nice find! Tom
Awesome thanks! I was trying to find information but i guess the JA Henkels was the confusing part. How can i tell if it has hone ware? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The upper edge near the spine (yellow) looks crisp and not worn. When that edge looks worn or uneven, I stay away. What name does it have on the reverse side of the tang, opposite the Red Imp trademark?
The latest acquisition, CVH MK No.30 with Ivory scales. The scales are in excellent condition. The blade needs some polishing and honing, $30 is a nice price for such razor. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk
