Thanks Jeff! I always liked this razor, but I have more of an appreciation of it. It's my G E Jones ShakeSharp of my straights.

    January Injector Focus Shave #13

    Razor: Schick G
    Blade: Personna 74 tungsten
    Brush: Omega 49
    Soap: Stirling Soap Co. Sheep
    A/S: Aqua Velva (CVS Blade)

OK, so last night's indulgent Sunday dinner may have affected my shaving skill. I believe I applied too much pressure on the face resulting in a warm feeling all night. Tonight I continued on with the same Personna blade, and the smooth efficiency returned with absolutely no irritation. So @jgreenepa it looks like I can carry on with this one.

@MaineYooper I really like the Stirling Sheep. There is a very faint soap scent, and the performance is creamy mutton wonderfulness. I could be very happy if this were my only soap. However, if I had to choose between Sheep and Mitchell's Wool Fat, I really prefer the scent of MWF. (I know the green Stirling tubs are iconic and represent the brand, but that ceramic MWF pot is pretty nice). Looking forward to seeing your January injector acquisitions Eric. Pretty cool that you found the amber handled G.

Great shave Eric! You should get a lot more shaves with that blade.

Thank you Joe. We did decide to go to Carnivale. Anthony wanted pasta over Mexican.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap with Mint Extracts.
Brush: APShave Co 24mm Cashmere Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
    Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Cella Bio Organic Aloe Vera Shaving Cream.
Blade: Treet Black Carbon. ( D1)
    Razor: Muhle r89.

    Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./Brut Attraction Totale ASL./Creightons Sensitive PSB.

    Greetings,

    Early morning shave,

The black carbon blade was starting to rust up on the blade ends so it was time retire it to the used blade bin....It's no great loss to me as the two previous shaves the blade gave me were smooth & efficient with no drama, plus the cost of these blades is very inexpensive.. ...Loading a fresh blade in my Muhle r89 mowed through my stubble with effortless ease.

A enjoyable 2 pass + pick ups close comfortable shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Cien sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.

SOTD TUESDAY MORNING, JANUARY 25, 2022

This aging crap is just no dang fun! Twice a year I have a 6 hour infusion that holds off my Rheumatoid Arthritis, and it’s been working well. Before each procedure, there’s a blood test. Well this time I ended up with a TB result that delayed my infusion and required me to go in for a follow up test. They’ll read the result tomorrow, and hopefully, it’ll be negative! Thank heaven for my shaves! They do pick me up!

This morning I pulled out the big guns, my favorite artisan razor, “Bone Mosaic” by the incredibly talented razorsmith, Victor Creazzi of Colorado. I bought this razor from Vic close to eight or nine months ago, and it still has an awesome edge. I own other artisan razors, but Vic’s amazing razor led me to purchase a second, and I’m currently going to be ordering a third. Two and a half passes and my mug is smooth as my great grandaughter’s bottom!

The noggin shave featured the only premium, luxury Valet Autostrop Henry Gaisman ever produced, the silver plated VB2. The razor was first produced in 1927 and Gaisman put many expensive design elements into this premium razor. It featured a roller bar guide on the back, nicer handles, nicer boxes, nicer kits, and a much nicer finish. But what really set the VB2 apart was the hinged blade door.

Instead of sliding a blade into a friction slot, then activating a catch to hold the blade, the VB2 has a door you open, put the blade onto the “VALET” pins, close the door, then activate the latch. More complex. And the latch at the back of the VB2 was theoretically adjustable: You could change the blade exposure by moving the latch up or down. All I know is that it’s my second favorite Autostrop after the VC4, the only model with a safety bar. In any case two ATG passes and my dome is stubble free, leaving me velveteen smooth from noggin to neck.

RAZOR: Victor Creazzi’s “Bone Mosaic” 7/8 (Mug), Valet Autostrop VB2 (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather FAS-10 (Dome)
PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
BRUSH: Alpha Shaving T-400 with 24mm Hybrid Knot Ferrule
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys WH. Finished with Chatillon Lux Pure Lavender Post Shave Toner.
