The Clauss Automatic Safety Razor arrived yesterday. After being soaked in hot water with salt, baking soda, and aluminum foil a couple of times & followed by a Flitz polish...nice & shiney again.
First time seeing the Clauss Automatic razor, looks like it is well thought out for that era. It is amazing the mechanical thought goes into a nice razor. A 3 piece razor would be simpler but innovators are always trying to appeal to the public who would be potential buyers. @Dave in KY has one and he says they can be aggressive. They where selling them in 1909 still according from a B&B fellow who did some research. Clauss should of called it 2X TPT or TPTTPT razor(Twist, Push, Twist to install blade, Twist, Pull, Twist to lock) interesting razor and did a little searching when I see something strikes my interest.
Aristocrat case came in with a broken single ring. But the case is damn nice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
