    Good evening gents!

    Straight Razor Shave # 342
    10/8 Max Sprecher (57)
    Catie"s Bubbles Tuxedo Brush
    Stirling Spice SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 31 hrs

I wanted to end Jumbo January with my Max Sprecher because it is what turned me on to ultra large razor. It was my very first custom razor and it has served me well the last year and a half.
I really got a voluminous, creamy, rich and slick lather because I beat the soap like it owed me money. I normally go for a much thinner lather but I am trying to use it up as quickly as possible. I think my next shave will do it.
I also did something that I normally don't do and that's to do a full three pass shave. I haven't done one since my early days of straight shaving. I had a lot of lather for 4 to 5 passes so why not use it for another pass? The last pass was across the grain and to be honest, it was not comfortable because I hardly do it and the muscle memory is not there. Plus, doing it with a big razor only exacerbates the difficulty for me. Alas, I persevered and got a great shave with no nicks, cuts, weepers, creepers, irritation troubles or bubbles as IAMCDB (Chris Bailey) would say. Lol! Also, I didn't need to do any touchups.
I applied the alum and did get some good feedback on my neck. Witch hazel and the matching aftershave followed. The aftershave burned on my neck area which is to be expected because the alum did the same thing. This was a very close shave and I enjoyed it very much. Have a great evening guys!
  20. Princeton and Trenton, right?
