Looking out my window we has a significant snowfall. It is powdery so it should be easy to dig out, but I still have to wait it out today. Plows won't hit the neighborhood until the main roads are done.
Anyway, I deep-sixed the Stirling Spice soap. However, it gave me a wonderful lather for its final show. Sadly, I am down to 2 tubs of Stirling Christmas scents and my 5 1 oz samples.
Anyway, the shave went well without any problems. The alum gave some feedback. Finished with the witch hazel and the matching aftershave. I am housebound today so I am going to just relax. Sorry about recycling the pic but it is the same setup as the previous shave. Have a great day!

  2. Jeff, where I live here in Sweden it’s seldom much snow these days. We have received about a half foot in total this winter so far. Now it’s raining and the temperature is 47F with heavy winds. It’s going to be approximately 82 Feet/ second late tonight. Gladly they have put down the electrical lines in the ground last summer in our surroundings, earlier we always had power failures due to falling trees. What scares me most is the trees next to my house standing on my neighbours ground picture taken from our entrance..

Ah, snow days. Except in the Lowcountry we get a "snow hour" every few years. It was snowing when I began, bright and sunny now that I am finished.

Beautiful luxury shave this morning with some classic timeless products.

  4. Beautiful. Remove enough of the edge so there's no chance of it getting to your skin. Using snips I haven't seen able to get a clean cut but I don't think it matters.[IMG]

  5. It's a nice setup Eric! I have paired Tabac with the Veg, Pinaud Clubman Classic and Old Spice.
  6. Those trees are huge!
  7. It was a close Pinaud contest this morning; Clubman almost got the pick, but the Lilac spoke to me :)
  8. Great shave, Joe! Beautiful scales on that razor!

  9. Wow, those are some tall softwoods! If they fall there would definitely be some serious damage! By the way, when I was a younger man back in the 70s, Hans, I spent three wonderful months in your beautiful country! Two months in Stockholm, and one in Goteborg. When I left on the ferry from Helsingor to Helsingrade, Denmark I’ll never forget when the whistle went off and everyone rushed to the bar when we hit duty-free waters and drank like the world was going to end. Fun times!
  10. Great shave, but Tabac (gag!!) and the Veg. You sir have a more robust olfactory sense than me! ;)

  11. Thanks Jeff! Max has never let me down. Every time I use it, my shaves are always enjoyable. We got hit hard with the snow. Hopefully, you guys didn't get clobbered.

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Tuckmarr 5/8” Maccassar scales
Brush: Leo Frilot ECWS 2018 Ghost Trails
Lather: Los Jabones de Joserra Aquas de Gredos
    Aftershave: PAA Old Salty
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Extreme snowy/blizzard conditions this morning so I decided to do a shave that would remind me of a warmer time around the beach. This scent will be helpful while I spend several hours of shoveling.

A fabulous three pass shave with the Tuckmarr straight. The end result was a close and comfortable shave. Can’t get much better than that. The PAA Old Salty complements the soap well. The sample of the soap is now completed. Will I purchase a full tub? no, mainly because it comes from Spain which a price of $34. I have the PAA Old Salty soap so I am satisfied. I believe the Old Salty is no longer available.

I am spending the afternoon resting up for the shoveling extravaganza once the snow ends in a few hours. I was our for about a half hour early to make a path for the dogs to do their business.

I hope you have a great day gentlemen.
  13. Yes Joe, about 70 feet high

  14. Sounds nice Jeff! The reason why you spent your time in Sweden? Studies? I have also made the trip between Helsingborg and Helsingör a couple of times . They call it “Tura” that means that you go a couple of times between the cities, sitting drinking and perhaps eating…

  15. Congratulations on you new acquisition. Kudos to Jeff, @jgreenepa, for his generosity. I had a very nice shave with the Tyoe G yesterday. Perhaps tomorrow will be the Type L
  16. Thank you Jeff. I do not have the Type E.

  19. I like to brag, but I'm going to anyway(lol). Real pleased with my shave this morning. Two passes, and one load per pass (course the second load wasn't as much as the first). Great coverage all around with the Stoylin Oro Valley. No issues anywhere. I'd like to be able to do better around the ingrown hairs(thjat is, not JUST that area, but the surrounding areas, too). But that was the only frustration of the shave. No cuts, no Knicks. The Puros A.S. went on in good form. The shave/A.S. combination did bring about a strong tobacco scent, but it gradually faded away, or I should say from strong to acceptable. Next time I use Puros, I may use an unscented soap first(Stoylin Sheep or MWF. When it comes to tobacco, I think the pipe persuasion is best for me.-although Puros is a cured tobacco scent, which is OK(cigar). Decisions, decisions. I'm nice and clean, fresh, and relaxing on this blizzard thing.

  20. Aaahh, our guys don't plow is "in"-they shove it to the ground. But like you, it will be a "multiple-time" job.
