I just received mine and used it today. It was a very good shaver for me. Even on 3 it was efficient and had a good amount of blade feel. I hope you like yours as much as I do mine.

Those both look great but that Type A is a beaut!

Thanks Dave. I really got lucky on this one. The gold plating looks so nice that I don't want to mess it up by using it. Luckily for me I have another Schick Type F as my user razor which is in good condition other than no longer having it's gold plating on the head, but the brass & copper areas still look nice when polished. Here are some comparison pics of the two side by side.

Just picked up three oddball shaving soaps that I've not heard of before. It'll probably be a while before I actually get around to trying them.


And a few slightly older purchases to catch up on...

The price he asked was nice ..... I offered $20 less and he accepted.
