What a great shave in preparation for what promises to be a memorable experience. Over the top or not, sounds like a great feast.

I stumbled upon Kyle's videos in my search for how to shave with a single edge and subsequently learned about the Colonials. I sent him a message a few days ago and he said they are preparing for a Colonial run this year. So much for me trying to be frugal this year :)

    Good morning!

    Shavette Shave #330
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (5)
    Semogue OC Super Badger Brush
    Razorock Classic SS
    Stirling Coconut Lime AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 40 hrs

It is a cold morning here on Long Island. It's so cold that I forgot to take a pic of today's setup Lol!

Razorock Classic soap has the almond cherry scent, but I am close to the bottom of the puck that the scent is negligible. However, the lather that I created with ny Semogue brush was awesome. Two passes and a minor touchup gave me a nice, close and comfortable shave without any errors. There wasn't any feedback from the alum. After the witch hazel application, I splashed the Coconut Lime aftershave. I have very little of it left and want to finish the bottle. Have a good day guys!

And another routine Edge Gel shave for me this morning. All right, I'll stop saying "routine"..course it isn't routine if you mess it up. Which I didn't. I was better today than yesterday at making sure I got a nice clean shave at the cheeks/sideburns (without having to go over errors). Great work on all cylinders. The only frustration came post-shave, as I did another Niagra Falls job with the Guerlain Vetiver. J'apologise, Monsieur Guerlain. I just did face and neck all on the same "pass". Usually, it's one pass each for the face and neck. I hope the excess Vetiver doesn't "blow away the neighborhood". Sorry @Trigger , I can't achieve the hat trick-Super Duper Excellent.

Thanks Eric. I've never really been a knife collector. These are just some knives I've picked up over the years or ones that belonged to my Dad. It was fun getting them all together and reminiscing about them.

As I was gathering everything together, I found a couple of other interesting items. I had one knife that was given to me by a wonderful gentleman at work. He passed a few years ago. I recently looked up his son and gave the knife to him. I figured it was better for him to have it than me. I also found an old slide rule in a nice leather sheath that belonged to another kind gent where I used to work. I got it when he retired, and it became something to sit on a shelf. His grandson (who is currently studying engineering) now has it. I hope it inspires him.

I also boxed up a bunch of personal items that belonged to my Bride's uncle and gave them to his oldest son. He looked like a kid at Christmas when he received them. I'm not sure what happened, but he didn't get those items when his dad passed and they were offered to me instead. I'm very glad he has them and can now pass them on to his sons.

Thanks, Eric! The videos are Kirk’s, but the new aluminum razor will be a winner, like all Kyle’s designs!

Thank you Jeff....as I said a while back, I definitely decided on Edge as my "magnificent goo" unless Rise Superfoam makes a comeback.
