  4. Very nice Jeff. Today, I used my GE Jones Shakesharp for my headshave with Cremo at the gym. It really is a great shaver.

  11. Star Blade Focus (shaves 4,5)

    Razor: Yates 921M/H
    Blade: Sharp Star
    Brush: WCS synthetic
    Soap: Captain's Choice Italia
    A/S: Skin Bracer

Loss of efficiency in the blade tonight, and consequently decrease in comfort level. Not at all uncomfortable, but a noticeable loss.

  12. Nice setup Eric. Personally, I been there and done that too. If the blade is at that point during a shave, then I would just replace it with a fresh blade. I just don't want to ruin my good looks. Lol!

  14. i am new to wet shaving (since jan 2021), and today i had my best shave so far :)

it is a sunny but cold weather here in Istanbul. i wanted something fresh, so i used Stirling Ozark Mountain. I am still experimenting with my Yaqi Butterscotch, so it was my brush of the day. My go-to daily combination is DE89 + Rapira. I noticed that yaqi is really nice and easy for face lather. As aftershave i only used Alum Block and Arko Sensitive as i didnt want the smell of Ozark Mountain to be masked.

i normally do 1pass with the grain, and 2passes cross the grain. but todays lather was so good that i could do against the grain on 3rd pass. my skin is so soft that i keep touching it, it is smoother than a baby butt i am pretty sure :D

have a nice day everyone, spring is coming :)

  15. Congrats on your best shave ever in your wetshaving journey Tolga! I don't own a Yaqi brush, but I have heard they perform well. I am an Arko fan and use it for headshaving because it is very slick. Enjoy your afternoon.

I decided to have a menthol shave with Proraso. I am near the bottom of the tub and it seems to me that there was more ooling effect from the menthol because my water was very cold. I am not complaining because I love it. LOL! My C-MON brush made a nice, slick lather and my Dovo glided easily on my skin. I did 2.5 passes for a close and comfortable shave. I was doing more buffing than usual, especially on my neck so I retired the blade after I finished shaving. I probably could have gone a shave or two more but I didn't want to chance it. I may change to a 1/2 Feather DE Blade. I have used a Feather in my shavettes so it shouldn't be a problem.

The alum gave me some feedback on my neck which didn't surprise me because of the extra buffing with a not so sharp blade. Topped the shave with witch hazel and the matching aftershave. Have a nice day gentlemen.
