If they’re not too badly shrunken, you can slide a hacksaw blade between the scales and relieve the wedge a little. This a nice little ‘cheat’ that everyone can do. This in yesterday, Friodur 14 #2, and guess what? I needed the hacksaw blade trick, lol. They’ll end up in custom scales at some point.
I've been trying to find a few 6/8 Hessen razors for a project. Needs work, but it should clean up nicely. PM'ed a seller to ask the size of another Hessen and they responded later that it has just sold.
Nice blade! I am a fan of these razors myself. They seem to have made quite a few blades for companies in the PA area. This razor was made for PA & S Small (Philip Albright and his brother Samuel), who owned businesses in York, PA. I have its brother Tom
Latest acquisition, the stamps where quite hard to see according to the seller. I found out with a magnifying glass that it is a Emil Carlsson 6/8”. Production between 1925-about 1979. $27 freight included. Skickat från min iPhone med Tapatalk

I'm really enjoying this thread. I'm tempted to get back into the habit of browsing ebay again. Most of my straight razor acquisitions were quite a few years ago. I might even start listing a few of my own, but I just enjoy having them around so that's probably not going to happen any time soon. Meanwhile, keep 'em coming here guys!
