    Shavette Shave #340
    Dovo Shavette
    Feather 1/2 DE Blade (2)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
Music City Suds Lavender and Ever SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 26 hrs

Tomorrow at 7:30 am, I will be heading to a men's breakfast and didn't want to rush a shave with a Feather blade going on its 2nd use. So, I decided to shave late tonight to enjoy a relaxing shave.

I picked MC Suds Lavender because it is such a soothing scent that is perfect for the hour before bedtime. Evan's Tuxedo Brush has a good amount of backbone so that you can really get a great performance in loading and lathering the soap. Although I had just a day's growth, I made sure that my beard was well prepped with hot water and the lather worked in the stubble. It was important because I didn't want to have my razor suddenly skip with a very sharp Feather blade in it.

I did 2 passes without pickups to get a near BBS shave, but I did manage a weep under the left side of my chin. Hit it with cold water and then followed it with the alum and it was fine. There wasn't a trace of it, but did get feedback on my neck in that general area. I figured that would be the case, but fortunately there was not any irritation. Finished with the matching aftershave and I was happy with the shave.
Obviously, tomorrow will be a no shave day and Sunday, I will be using one of my favorite DE razors. It will be one of my Rockwells. I figured that I give you guys a break from doing shavette shaves. Lol! Take care.

    Shaving recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Asda Sea Salt & Fennel Extract 2 in1 Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent Bar Soap with Mint Extracts.
Brush: Yaqi 26mm Rainbow Brown Synthetic. (Faux Horse)
    Face Lather.
Bowl : Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Palmolive Classic Shave Sticks (Grated)
    Blade: Personna PTFE SS (D1.)
    Razor: Provision Supply Razor V2.

    Post:
Cold water Face Wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water Face Rinse. /Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With 200ml of Care+Witch Hazel./ Brut Attraction Totale ASL./ Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

A new shave set up to start the weekend.....Maiden shave with the Provision Supply V2 razor ...The verdict?.... After my recent introduction with the Schick G type injector razor i was swooned by how much of a wonderful close comfortable shave it gave then decided to purchase another one to my humble SE razor collection...Anyway I was all set to go with the Parker Adj Injector, then i came across the Provision Supply V2, ..However, i have also made a purchase for the Parker Injector which will be arriving next week and i look forward to trying it out in my future shaves.

As i have never shaven with a fully stainless steel razor before i wasn't sure what to expect...The Build & quality standard of the Supply is the best razor i have purchased to date...The weight is much heavier than the Schick G type injector which is something i like in a razor. However it's not quite as easy to manoeuvre as the Schick injector but i will adjust to the extra weight in future shaves. The handle doesn't feel slippery, despite being smooth it feels grippy and good to hold and make's the razor feel well balanced, and the added bonus i like about the supply razor is you can disassemble to clean it, and you don't need a injector key to change the blade like you do with most other injector razors.

I started off with the classic (**) base plate to familiarise myself with the razor ,which has a nice balance of efficiency & smoothness.....I will try out the other plates in future shaves, but for now the classic plate feels good... Like the Schick G type i found it easy to find the angle and after the first few strokes i felt comfortable shaving with the razor. The Personna PTFE blade paired together wonderfully making a smooth efficient duo.

After my combined xtg/atg + pick up pass my face felt silk smooth with no cuts or irritation.

An effortless close comfortable near BBS 2 pass + pick ups shave with no errors to report...Finishing the shave off with a small dollop of Nivea Men Fresh Moisturising Gel.

My face is feeling silky smooth & smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

  17. Shaved with my Parker 87R with an Astra blade (second shave) It looks like a Gillette Ambassadore handle. TTO head. Shaves nice every time! BBS, no razor burn, no nicks. Simpson's Pre-shave oil, TOOBS Almond Cream, Captain's Choice "Land Ho" aftershave balm. I really like this Parker. It's one of my favs. Of course my buddy Theo, watches me shave every morning.

I think I need to measure a bit more cream to whip....a little light on the whipped cream but, I got a nice 2-pass shave. Many of the creams I have tried need just a tiny amount to fill the bowl with whipped cream! First use of the Almond.

  19. I LOVE their balms. I think I prefer their shaving soft soaps in a tub over the creams tho. TOOBS normally lathers a LOT with very little. At least their Lavender does. Or maybe I didn't whip it long enuff...or could have used a better brush. I find the 2 synthetics I have really make good lather.

  20. A fine shave this morning that could have been better, but I was pleased overall. The Jayaruh looked great, working with the Stoylin soap(Ramblin Man). Good work along the cheeks&sideburns, and I had to spend a little extra time making sure the right sideburn area got what it deserved. Problems at Porcupine Alley, but not serious. No cuts, no Knicks, but 3 red polkadots. Cactus Nation was great. I thought maybe the cold water rinse prior to the Ramblin Man A,S. would knock 'em out. It did a little, but you can tell I had polkadots. During the second pass I dipped into the jar for more soap on the brush. I'm giving this a Most Excellent.
