On this Washington's Birthday, I stand corrected as to the brush I used....it was the

Maggard "Marble Handle" synth...(24 mm)

not the
Stoylin "Pro-Handle synth(26)

I got a new razor to try out today and I really like it! It's a Parker 94R 3-piece. Also first time using this soap. LOVE the soap! Nice close shave and no tingle when I hit my face with the alum bar. NICE! I seem to like every Parker razor I try out. I bloomed the soap with hot water and lathered right on my face with my Berkeley Simpson's brush. Good backbone with this brush.

 

Great shave! I have never tried Col. Conk soap, but I have seen it lathered on youtube.

 

I highly recomend this soap. I kept seeing others rave about it so, I decided to try it out. ME LIKE!

It's going to be in the 60's today on LI. February temps have flip-flopped here. Anyway, I want to dedicate this shave to our new member Eric @ewk to celebrate his getting a Dovo Best Quality razor. Looking forward to him using it.

I used this razor this past December so it was time to shave with it once again.
Evan's brush really is a soft synthetic, but has always given me great lathers. Angora Soaps is not well known, but it makes a creamy, slick lather and this lavender scent is just awesome.

The Dovo BQ gave me a super shave on 2.5 passes without any errors. I have to say using average-sized straights is so different than shaving with my larger ones. Finished my postshave routine with the glorious, matching aftershave. Take care.
