Veey nice shave this morning with the assistance of the bullpen. The Feather Pro Super evidently was in it’s last leg. After two pass I decided to bin the blade and call in the bullpen. The Dollar Tree razor with the GSB easily finished of the final pass which results led in a very close shave.

Rocking the Lakewood soaps I see Danny. I love their soaps. Great shave.

 

I've had theses samples for about two years now and finally decided to give them a go. The Smoky Mountain Rain and the Honey Mash seem to have the same base. The soaps perform great and I have no complaints....builds a lather quick, is slick and cushiony. The Honey Mash has a great scent and is unique.

I think you will like it. I plan on ordering from them...just trying to figure which one to go with.

Do you have a razor that shaves better than the New Deluxe?

 

i love all my gillettes....my deluxe would see more shave time if the plating was intact or replated.preferenbly in nickel or rhodium.project for down the line...i use a mint new lc cap with it when using it so it helps with the old penny smell.not really a big deal but i don't use it for daily shaves..my preference at present is the brit tech hybrid..

 

I have to admit that my New Deluxe is one of the top shavers in the den. It amazes me at how well a 90 year old razor shaves compared to my modern razors. I see a lot if the New's design in some of the moderns.

I've been researching nickel plating. I may try and give it a go sometimes. I would really like to have a nickel New Type sc and lc. I have the razors. I just need to get set up. It looks like it will not take much.
