Nice one, Gary. I wish the cream would be available here, I've heard good things about it.

It's nice to use something unscented or very mildly scented occasionally, as long as it works!

Great shave on your 2nd use of your kami Joe. You will get there because you improved from your first shave.

    SE Shave # 244

    Razor: Gem Feather
    Blade: GEM Stainless
    Brush: Semogue Torga C5
    Lather: Cella Crema da Barba
    Aftershave: PAA Chella Cool
    Additional Care:
    Stirling Alum Block
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm
    Thayer’s Witch Hazel - Original

Early rise this morning as my son has his first Ju Jitsu tournament. I went with the classic scent of the Cella. The Semogue T2 synthetic whipped up a nice lather. The GEM Featherweight razor easily took care of the 24 hour growth. I received phenomenal shaves with all of my GEM/GEM type razors.
The Chela Cool aftershave has a strong dose of menthol in it’s formulation, which leaves you face with a major sting for around a half minute. The dry down leaves a wonderful almond-cherry scent. SWMBO loves it.

Well now it is off to seating in very uncomfortable bleacher seats for the next few hours. Hope you have a great day gentlemen.

    March Cold Shave Focus

Only 5 days in, but I believe cold water shaving will be "the way" for me. The razor seems to glide more easily, my skin does not get irritated. Should also save $ on the natural gas bill (probably not significantly, but every little bit helps).

I have been comparing the vintage Sharp Star blade to the modern Silver Star on another forum. I share my results here for your entertainment.
    IMG_20220303_194559361.jpg

The vintage Sharp Star in the Fatip Open Comb Slant was up first on Thursday. The shave felt rough on the neck, but relatively comfortable otherwise. Efficiency was about the same as previously, slightly above average. Three passes on the face and 2 + touchups on the dome resulted in a DFS. Higher than average stinging post-shave.

Saturday morning shave finds the Silver Star in the FOCS. Performance of the Silver Star was greater than the Sharp Star. The Silver Star provided a high level of comfort with no irritation, even on the neck. End result is pretty close to BBS. Happy Saturday y'all.
