    Good evening gents!

    Shavette Shave # 346
    Parker SRB
Feather Hi Stainless 1/2 DE Blade (3)
    MrEE Tuxedo Brush
    Proraso Green SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 27.5 hrs

It's Menthol Monday so I decided to go with Proraso Green soap and aftershave.
I am toward the bottom of the tub of Proraso so I will be using it more often as the weather gets warmer. I did a complete cold water shave and the Proraso felt great. There's something about its cooling effect on my skin. Frankly, I could have stopped at one pass and called it a night. However, I am a 2 pass guy unless I need a half pass or a touchup. This Feather blade had 2 prior shaves and it was still razor sharp. I was more focused because this shavette has the toe and the heel uncovered. If my technique was not perfect, then I definitely would have had some red liquid oozing out of my skin. Suffice it to say that there weren't any such mishaps during the shave. The result was BBS. However, it wasn't cotton ball proof BBS. The alum gave a little feedback on the neck, but it was fine. Finished the shave in my usual way. Is it me or is my face getting younger? I know. I am delusional. Lol! Take care.
  8. Wonderful Proraso shave.

  9. That is a great setup for the week, Gary. If I didn't have close to 100 DE blades of diverse brands, then I would get some Gillette Nacets. Supposedly, they are sharp, but smooth. I just saw a video of West Coast Shaving, The company was doing an interview with Heather Melton, who is the owner of Zingari.

  12. Thanks Joe. Lavender is definitely a calming scent. Before wetshaving, I really didn't experience aromatherapy. Well, I should say not as frequently as I do now.

  16. March Cold Water Focus Shaves

    Razor: Merkur Progress
Blades: Sharp Star (Sunday)/Silver Star (Monday)
    Brush: Yaqi 24 mm badger
    Soap: Arko
    A/S: La Toja

Cold water shaving -- This is the Way :). My comfort and lack of irritation this first week has been very noticeable. On Sunday night I put the Sharp Star in the Merkur Progress and achieved one of the most satisfying shaves I have experienced in a long time. The Progress was an early acquisition in my shaving journey, and has not seen as much game time lately as it used to as other razors have caught my attention. Two passes, yes TWO passes on the face left me with a stellar shave requiring only the slightest touch up to achieve BBS. Same result on the dome, but a two pass shave + is standard for me up there. No irritation or blood at all. Highest marks for comfort and efficiency with the Sharp Star in the Progress. Monday night shave with the Silver Star in the Progress was a satisfying repeat of Sunday night. Two passes plus touch ups on both head and face shaves is extraordinary.

  19. Great shaves Eric! I started cold water shaving during my early stages in wetshaving and found the results were great. It's only recently that I started going back to warm water shaving during the colder months. However, today's shave was with Cold water because I wanted to get that extra chill from Proraso.
