  2. Great shave Joe. I normally get 5 to 6 shaves out of a Feather before I bin it. I have a goatee so I have less real-estate to shave. :D
  3. I will always treasure my Hembree Delrin brush.
  4. Thanks Danny. Getting 5 or 6 shaves on a full Feather DE is very good. Most shavers usually bin Feather blades at 3 shaves.

  6. Homelike Shaving (Russian based) has an updated version of their Start razor.....the Start-2. This razor set is calling me. I have not pulled the trigger yet. I contacted the company to see if they were still able to ship to the United States. We shall see. The Ruple has been falling and this set has dropped about $30.00 in a week and a half.

I have read a couple of comments that have said it edges the Colibri out.

I'm having a hard time resisting. :D I need an intervention but I know I will not find that here. :happy102:

  7. I just want to encourage you middle aged guys that want to get fit, but have the mindset that it's too late.
This is a pic of my at the end of last month. Mind you, I will be 67 in June. I have been consistently going to the gym almost six years and it has paid off very well for me.

  8. Looking good and feeling good there Joe!
  9. Thank you Danny. It's due to maintaining a fitness regimen by consistently going to the gym for almost 6 yrs. I am truly blessed in many ways.
  10. Very nice shave Joe. Hope you had a good day with the Yutes.

  11. It has taken me 14 years on the shaving forums to narrow everything down to what works best for me. This month (March) it's a bowl of Penhaligon's English Fern soap. Today's shave was #100 on that old puck. Nearing the end, of course, but I guess it's got 10 or 15 more shaves left before it completely disappears. My 24 soaps/creams are rotated monthly by brand, as are the 2 razor blade brands - Schick Proline 30 and Kai Captain Original. The General razor never changes unless I get the urge to use a straight razor or one of the others that reside in those boxes in the drawer. I use only 5 brushes (three badger, one synthetic and one boar) and they are rotated every time I shave, which is 4 days a week. Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. One and only aftershave splash is Superior 70 Mentolado. I don't enjoy perfumed fragrances, so that's an expensive burden I don't have to bear.

  14. Welcome Gary! That's an excellent shaving resume. I am curious. Do you just straight shave every now and then?
