Hi Friends,

Here is my yesterday´s shave (09.03.2022)


Razor: ATT Windsor // Blade: Personna red // Soap: MDC Fougere // Brush: RazoRock Disruptor // Aftershave: Ach.Brito Lavanda

Good shave. The razor is a loan of a very friendly member in our German FB Group, the sample of the soap too. So there were two unknown factors for the shave.

The razor was gentle and smooth, nevertheless i ´ve had 3 bloodspots but i blame it on my stressed skin and not on the razor. The soap has a nice scent but it needs to grow on me. I found it a bit lacking on the cushiony side but maybe i used a little less from the sample. Now i transferred it to a tin, pressed it in so i can just load up directly from there the next time.

3 good passes and the shave was done. The Aftershave burnt more than usual but the scent of the Aftershave made it all good. It smelled SO very nice. I love it.

Great shave. Razor feels aggressive but shaves great. The fresco is a recent acquisition and im pretty happy with it. It sort of has that Irish spring bite/sharpness to it but also a little something else going on. Either way a fantastic shave!

What a pity that this Irisch Moos stick was discontinued because it’s so nice - the scent is beautiful, the lather is so thick, rich, slick, and protective, and it’s got pretty good skincare as well. The last formulation was made by the same company which makes Tabac so perhaps they thought that one shaving soap was enough. The Fino balm is unscented, it’s so moisturizing as well as soothing so it’s perfect for sensitive skin, and the English Leather aftershave’s classy old school scent is delightful. This shave was so terrific as well and very enjoyable!

The Musgo Real Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #414 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the ISKRA Safety Razor with a PolSilver Super Iridium Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Pinaud Clubman AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD, Fri, March 11th 2022

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm- Great daily driver for most, tame mid range, top cap needs manual adjustment then tightened for final step, Because of small head parts I work over a wash cloth. One of the best razors I own for comfort and performance.
Blade: Schick proline P30- excellent blade, sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap: Ach Brito Lavanda cream- nice mild lavender woody scent + excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi mysterious space 24mm silvertip badger, excellent lather generator, heavenly soft pillow tips, nice scrub + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Ach Brito AS with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers=excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Schick p30 blade.

Razor: 1956 Gillette Red Tip
Blade: Wilkinson Sword
After: Sterling unscented balm

The red tip easily handled two days growth. I tend to like milder razors for daily shaves, but the red tip with a Wilkinson Sword blade feels great for taking care of longer stubble.
