It's hard to cram everything into the photo! Shave for today starts with Herbal Pre-shave by TOOBS. Shave cream today was Col. Conk's Amber which I melted into my wood bowl. Soak with a little hot water on top for a few minutes and then load up the brush and build lather in my Shave Nation lather bowl. Razor of choice was my Parker 94R with a Feather blade. Finished off with Proraso After-Shave Balm.

March 15 SOTD Dedicated to my Mom.

    Good Morning!

    20220315_100739.jpg

    Straight Razor Shave #350
    700th Open Blade Shave
    Max Sprecher (61)
    Catie's Bubbles Tuxedo Brush
Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender SS and AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 40.5 hrs

Today’s milestone of 700 open blade shaves is dedicated to my mom because it is the anniversary of her passing.

I know that I sound like a broken record but Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender has a wonderful scent and it lathers into a nice, creamy, and slick lather. It just is off the charts. However, I was looking at Thomas the Shaver's video on this soap and he couldn't smell anything. I commented that you got a bad batch.

Anyway, getting back to important matters.
Max continues to give my quality results after 61 shaves. A 2.5 passer gave me an error free, smooth comfortable shave. The alum gave slight feedback on my neck. Witch hazel and the matching aftershave finished my session.
I made mom proud today with this shave. Enjoy your day.

:signs001: Joe. I don't have the Green Shave Cream, but i have the Soap which is a firm favourite of mine. I'll have to add to my Soap rotation in my future shaves.

The Green is just awesome. I am at the bottom of my tub and will try to replace it with Bigelow cream that comes in a tube. It's a rebranded Proraso cream.

    Great shaves, gents!

Oh, and I love Proraso green too. I have just a little bit of the soap left, and a nearly full tube of the cream. I could honestly use it exclusively and be happy.

Straight razor/Shavette shaving isn't for everybody. However, if you ever decide to go that route and master the art of straight shaving, then you will understand the joy of using one.
Today's shave didn't show Max in all of it's glory so here's another pic from a previous shave.
The blade is 10/8 inch wide.

Razor: Wade & Butcher No. 1 Hollow Ground
    Brush: Classic Shaving Silver Blue
Lather: Lakewood Soap Company Prairie Song
Aftershave: Lakewood Soap Company Prairie Song Balm
    Additional Care:

Late post of a fabulous shave with this Lakewood Soap. Just an all around smooth and comfortable three pass shave.

I spent a good portion of the day painting the living room ceiling and trim. Tomorrow I will tackle the walls. Fun times in the MOLC.

Hope you all had a great day.
