Today was my first use of a new razor, the SCS-Model A by SimpleCleanShave. It is a three-piece aluminum razor with a heavy-duty anodized coating and stainless blade posts and head screw. It's a really interesting razor from a small manufacturer with an extensive background in machining parts with high tolerances. I decided to try it more or less on a whim and I'm glad I did. I had an excellent, efficient yet mild shave.

What can I say about Stirling that hasn't already been said? It whipped up into an excellent lather with the Jayaruh boar brush. I sealed the deal with some aftershave splash and a little balm. I had a tiny bit of irritation which is a little surprising because I pushed for a total BBS via an extensive pickup pass. I would have had a good bit of irritation from a less forgiving razor.

I ended up with a smooth, BBS result. 9.8/10. Happy shaves all!

The Proraso Sandalwood Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #217 Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Old Type Frankenrazor with a PolSilver Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with English Leather AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Oh my God, my face is so frozen from this setup and I wish that the Glacial Wintergreen stuff hadn’t been discontinued because it’s so fantastic. The soap’s tallow formula gives the lather such richness, sickness, with so much protection against dryness or irritation, the menthol sensation hits like a frigid sledgehammer, and the skincare is perfect. The matching balm and witch hazel have the same beautiful scent and intense menthol punch as the soap not to mention how great they feel. Three passes left me smoother than silk - another brilliant shave!

Razor: Yaqi V2 Excalibur AC 50mm-Mfg 2021> Great SE razor, great clamping of blade, very nimble to work the face, I always get excellent shaves with this razor. Very affordable. I have to adjust the top cap manually a little but very easy IMO. Small head parts.
Blade: Schick proline P30- sharp & smooth with reasonable longevity for a AC 50mm blade 5-7 shaves.
Soap: Razorock Lavender- mid range Lavender scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush: Yaqi 24mm purple haze synthetic, excellent lather generator, heavenly cloud like tips, gentle scrub + excellent painter.
Pre shave: Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser + a dollop of clear Aloe Vera gel on the cleaned beard area.
Prep: Cold water face & razor rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups.
Post shave: Razorock King Louis Lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion + scentless.
Results: CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Excellent shave with my Yaqi V2 Excalibur with a Schick AC P30.

Awesome shave this morning. I opted for the 1.30mm plate this morning.......smooth and efficient with the Voskhod. Three very nice passes.
