I have tried other shower gels that had menthol in them, but none of them came even remotely close to how cold that stuff was.

I think I'll stick with bar soap.

I would hope so. I can't believe I flipped it, as it still had a fair amount left.

Thanks Joe....I'd like to think this new "pro-hydration" bodywash had something to do with it. Which reminds me, I do like Doc Ezlovan's bodywashes.

I tried out 2 new items. Chiseled Face soap and a Treet Carbon Steel blade in my Parker 87R. Cool Proraso Blue pre-shave. I had to work a bit to get the lather I like with this soap.Scent was different for sure. Earthy! Nice shave!

Excellent shave Hogie! I have CF Cryogen and I find that it needs plenty of hydration, but it does give a nice lather.

    Good morning

    Shavette Shave #352
    Parker SRB
    Rockwell 1/2 DE Blade (2)
    Rockwell Synthetic Brush
Fine Accoutrements Italian Citrus SS (scent is gone)
    Proraso Green AS
    Maggard's Alum Block
    Dickinson's Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 36 hrs

As you can see by the pic, my Rocky brush whipped up a nice, creamy and rich lather in my shave mug. Fine Accoutrements does make a great lather, but they are mildly scented that you need to stick your nose on new puck to pick up the frag. Now, that this puck has been exposed to the air in my mug for many months, the scent is gone. Anyway, the lather still provided the slickness needed to get a great shave.

I could have stopped at one pass and be socially acceptable, but as you know, I am a 2 pass shaver. The Shave was close and comfortable, but did get a microdot weep on my stache area. I have been training my left hand to get the left side of my stache, instead of using my normal right-handed back stroke. This change in shaving that area caused the microdot weep.

The alum block didn't give much feedback. Witch hazel was applied to soothe the skin and is always part of my postshave routine. Finished with 2 splashes of the Proraso Green aftershave. I am happy with this shave. Have a great day!

Real fine shave this morning to close out (for now, possibly until next fall), the Razorock Puros AS and Stoylin Oro Valley soap. Again(as yesterday), I did 2 or 3 load efforts, to be sure I had more soap than water. Clean, clear and fresh all over, although I left a little at NW Porcupine(under right nostril). N. Porcupine Alley in general has to be dealt with pretty carefully(for me anyway). I guess I got TOO careful on the Western side. 2 passes. No Cuts, New Yorkers, or Polka Dots. I got a little careless in the end, forgetting to dry off the right side of my face as I applied the Puros, so I just dried it off and put MORE Puros on. Super Duper Excellent.

Thank you Joe....could have been the best grade, but for the aftershave carelessness. But I feel good-we'll see if I use this again before the hot summer.
