    Real nice Throwback Thursday shave this morning. The thing with canned cream is, if you aren't careful you'll get A LOT of cream. That's what happened to me, but it isn't all bad-I just used it to go all over my face and neck. The more the merrier. One pass. Left a little too much at North Porcupine Alley-will try to fix that tomorrow. Quite good everywhere else. Nice job down at Cactus Nation(neck). The Bill Neumann's 1907 really hit the spot. Before application, my face didn't feel alive(after just a cream shave). The 1907 gave it the "skin-food" it needed. Outta This World Excellent.

    Shave 13/30. Reopened a weeper and needed a little bit of alum for that, but overall the shave was good.

    I miss the variety, but no complaints about this setup really. The brush sheds a few hairs occasionally, but it does the job.

    I understand. I have a New Type SC and LC that I will probably plate but for some reason the New Deluxe just looks great as is.

    i agree.i don't use the original deluxe handle and i have a mint cap on it(same as an lc cap),so other than a quick polish on the karve handle..it shaves and shows well enough.i will be passing along my canadian news-sc and lc and just keeping my nickel plate versions.gold razors aren't my thing.but the deluxe is rare enough and not available in nickel in this variation.:)
